Málaga
Your flight lands in Málaga and you'll head to the hotel using public transport. Once you arrive and get settled, you'll join the group and tour guide for a welcome dinner so you can meet everyone and get oriented before the week really starts.

Landmarks Málaga Airport - Day 2
Las Alpujarras to Granada
You'll hike through Las Alpujarras, the mountainous region that sits south of Sierra Nevada. The trail takes you past meadows and forest sections while you pass through a few small villages along the way. After finishing the hike, you'll drive to Granada and settle in for a 3-night stay there.

Granada
Start at the Alhambra palace complex where you'll see the Royal Palace, Alcazaba fortress, and the famous Lion Court. From there, head to the Generalife Gardens to take in panoramic views of the surrounding area. Later in the day, you'll walk through the Albaicín, Granada's oldest neighborhood, with its narrow winding alleys and whitewashed buildings.

Granada
You'll take a moderate hike through Sierra Nevada, home to Spain's highest peak on the mainland. During the hike you'll see snow-capped peaks, deep gorges, alpine lakes, and thick forests. The views throughout the trail cover a range of terrain, and you'll notice the diverse plant life that grows at this elevation.

Zagrilla
This morning you're hiking through the Sierra Subbética nature park where you'll see olive groves, river valleys, and steep rocky mountains throughout. You'll walk into the Rio Bailón gorge, then stop at a traditional olive oil mill to see how they actually produce the oil. After that, the day ends in Zagrilla, a quiet village where you'll spend the night.

Córdoba to Seville
You'll spend time in Córdoba checking out the Mezquita, which is a mosque-cathedral with incredible columns throughout the interior. From there, you can wander the winding streets of the Judería, the former Jewish-Moorish quarter with courtyards full of flowers and small hidden squares tucked everywhere. Later in the day you'll travel to Seville where you'll stay for the night.

Granada to El Puerto de Santa María
Join a guided tour through Seville to explore its Moorish character. You'll visit the large Gothic church and its Giralda bell tower, then check out the Alcázar fortress with its eastern architectural style. After walking through the historic Santa Cruz neighborhood, you'll travel to El Puerto de Santa María, a harbor town where you'll stay for 3 nights.

Today is free, so you can move at your own pace. Many people walk around El Puerto de Santa Maria, a busy town, and grab lunch or dinner at one of the fish restaurants along the waterfront. If you're interested, you can arrange an optional trip to Cádiz, which is Western Europe's oldest city, though that requires booking ahead.

Cape Trafalgar
You'll head to Vejer de la Frontera, a white village where you can walk through small alleyways and see the Moorish castle and an old nunnery. After exploring there, you'll hike through La Breña nature park along the coast where pine trees and dwarf palms grow, heading toward Cape Trafalgar. You'll end up at the lighthouse and can enjoy the cliffside views and the long beach stretching below.

El Puerto de Santa María to Málaga
You'll hike through the Garzalema gorge from El Bosque to Benamahoma, walking through rocky karst terrain, oak forests, and past natural medicinal springs. After the hike, you'll have a farewell picnic with views of the landscape. Later you'll stop in Ronda, a mountain town dramatically perched on a cliff, to see the impressive Puente Nuevo bridge and the Tagus Gorge below before driving to Málaga for an overnight stay.
