- Day 1
Frankfurt to Bucharest
Your flight lands in Bucharest today. After getting through the airport, you'll head to your hotel on your own. This evening, you'll meet your tour guide and the rest of the group for a welcome dinner in the old town section of Bucharest.

- Day 2
Bucharest
Start with a guided city tour through Bucharest, taking in the Patriarchal Church, Officers' Casino, and University Square before heading to the Palace of Parliament. You'll stop at Obor Market in the afternoon to grab a snack, then head into the Old Town where you can wander around at your own pace. The lively atmosphere and historic streets give you plenty to explore on your own schedule.

Bucharest to Braov
Following breakfast, you're heading to Brașov, which sits in the Carpathian Mountains. This town has a medieval old town with tight, winding streets that are really well preserved. You'll stop by the Black Church, the largest Gothic religious building in southeastern Europe.

- Day 4
Kronstadt
After breakfast, you'll head up Tâmpa mountain for an easy hike covering about 2.7 km with roughly 300 m of elevation gain, taking 1.5 to 2 hours. From the summit you'll see views of Kronstadt and the Carpathian Mountains. The afternoon is free, though you can arrange an optional trip to Bran Castle if you're interested in visiting the famous Dracula location.

- Day 5
Braov to Gura Humora via Tartlau, Red Lake, Bicaz Gorge, and Agapia
After breakfast, you'll visit the fortified church of Târlau (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), then move on to the Red Lake where you can walk around and take in the landscape. From there, you'll drive through Bicaz Gorge National Park before reaching Agapia to see the Agapia nunnery, which is a significant Romanian Orthodox monastery. You'll finish the day in Gura Humorului.

Monasteries, Ceramics, and Local Dinner
You're visiting Moldovita Monastery with Sister Tatiana, one of the nuns there. Next, you'll go to Sucevita Monastery (also UNESCO World Heritage), known for its remarkable frescoes. Later, you'll watch artisans making black ceramics, and then head to dinner at a local farming family's home in Humor where you'll try traditional Romanian food, local schnapps, and wine.

Bistritz - Sighisoara
You'll travel over Borgo Pass heading toward Sighisoara, with a stop in the vineyards near Bistritz for wine tasting with your guide. After walking through the vineyards, you'll continue to Sighisoara to explore the medieval old town with its colorful houses and narrow streets. The clock tower offers panoramic views of the area, and that's worth the climb to see what's around you.

Malmkrog - Biertan - Sibiu
This day takes you to the fortified church in Malmkrog and the exterior of Apafi Manor House. From there you'll see the UNESCO-listed fortified church of Biertan. Later in the afternoon, you'll have coffee and cake while chatting with a German emigrant family in Alma Vii who share stories about Romania. After that comes a short hike through Harbach Valley near Holzmengen, where you'll have a Prosecco and snack picnic at a viewpoint before heading to Sibiu for a two-night stay.

City Tour, Beekeeper Visit, and Farewell Dinner
Start with a city tour of Sibiu, checking out the old town and visiting Piața Cibin market. You'll have time to wander around the city on your own after that. In the afternoon, you're heading to see Wilhelm Tartler, an organic beekeeper in Hamba, where you can watch how honey is made and taste some. You'll wrap up with a farewell dinner at the Henning family home in Michelsberg (a Transylvanian-Saxon family), enjoying house wine and homemade schnapps while learning about the country's history.
