Overall, a great trip. Tip: Make sure to confirm your itinerary with your tour guide as soon as you meet them. I realized on Day 2 that my tour guide's itinerary was quite different from the one I signed up for, and while she made every effort to correct the situation, Day 4 became quite hectic. In the original itinerary, there was time to take me souvenir shopping before the show, but it didn't work out that way. That said, it was impressive how my tour guide adjusted on-the-fly. She and the driver made sure I was comfortable, had enough photos, and enjoyed my tour. My favorites - the steppes and wild horses at Hustai, Genghis Khan statue, Turtle Rock / photo session with eagle (for 10,000 MNT), the gers (I upgraded to ensuite - worth it!), Tumen-Ekh cultural show, and the food. We had some Mongolian dishes (kuushur, soups, noodles) but some meals were Korean/Western so not too unfamiliar. They also accommodated my dietary requests (e.g., swapped beef for mutton). I did not care for the hotel included in the package (Grand Hill) because it was old and the A/C did not work, and the location wasn't ideal. I switched to a hotel in the city center after the tour, which was a good move because it made exploring/shopping more convenient on my post-tour days.Show more

The itinerary was great, but our guides were even greater! Ms. Ayumi was incredibly helpful and informative. She shared many great cultural facts as well as share the culture of Tokyo today. She even kept my teenagers highly engaged. Mr. Heroshi and Mr. Ko were both very helpful and informative during our tours. Ms. Akiko and Ms. Yukari both went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fantastic experience. They were both very good with the teenagers as well. All of our guides were very generous and gave us gifts upon our departure.Show more

- For any tour departing before November 20th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 20th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Agate Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
