Luang Prabang
You'll arrive in Luang Prabang and connect with your guide, then head to your hotel to settle in. After you've gotten comfortable, make your way up Mount Phousi for views out over the city and Mekong River (the sunset from the top is worth the climb if conditions cooperate). Later on, the night market is worth a walk through before you return to rest.

Luang Prabang
Start before dawn to catch the Alms Giving Ceremony where monks move through the main street collecting offerings from locals. After heading back for breakfast, you'll visit Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and the Royal Palace Museum (the former king's residence). Following lunch, travel to Kuang Si Falls where you can swim in the turquoise pools or hike the forest trails around the area.

Pak Ou Caves
Post-breakfast, you'll board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River through peaceful countryside. The Pak Ou Caves hold thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues left by pilgrims over the years. Stop at Ban Xanghai Village to see how locals produce Lao-Lao whiskey, then later watch the traditional Saa Jute Paper making process before heading back.

Luang Prabang to Vientiane
The morning is yours to explore Luang Prabang on your own. Early afternoon your guide picks you up and drives you to the train station. You'll board Laos's air-conditioned train traveling at 160km/h toward Vientiane, arriving after 2 to 2.5 hours. From there, transfer to your hotel, check in, and either relax or take a stroll along the nearby Mekong River.

Vientiane
Start at Wat Si Saket which contains over 10,000 Buddha statues throughout the grounds. Next comes Wat Ho Phra Keo, functioning as a Sacred Art Museum with the king's throne, wood carvings, and Buddha statues in gold, jade, and crystal. Then head to the iconic Pha That Luang Temple believed to hold relics under its golden stupa. Finish with Patuxai Victory Monument to see the detailed Buddha and mythological carvings.

Vientiane
After breakfast, visit a local market to watch Laotians shopping for daily ingredients and try local specialties. At lunch time, you'll join a cooking class learning to prepare authentic Lao dishes, then eat what you've prepared. The afternoon involves walking through Buddha Park to see over 200 large-scale religious sculptures (a giant reclining Buddha and three-story pumpkin-shaped structure are standouts). Wrap up with Lao beer sampling by the Mekong River.

Saravane
Catch an early morning flight from Vientiane to Pakse. Your guide meets you and drives toward Saravane, passing through Tateng Village where you'll learn about local tea and coffee production. You'll stop at Tad Lo Waterfall and visit villages of the Alak, Nge, and Katu ethnic minorities. The late afternoon brings you back to your Pakse hotel.

Following breakfast, you'll check out the ancient Wat Phu Ruins (older than Angkor). Then head to the 4000 Islands Region and explore by boat, visiting Khong Island, the largest in the region. The rest of the day is relaxed as you settle into your hotel.

4000 Islands Region
Begin with a morning stroll through nearby villages. Your guide takes you by tuk-tuk to Liphi Waterfall, claimed to be the longest in the world. Continue by boat to Khone Falls, which has the largest water flow rate in the world and drops about 70 feet. The turbulent water creates excellent photo opportunities. Return to Champasak Grand Hotel in the late afternoon.
