- Day 1
Luang Prabang
You'll arrive in Luang Prabang and get settled at your hotel. After resting for a bit, head out with your guide to climb Mount Phousi, the highest point in the city. There's a small temple at the top, and if the weather cooperates, you can watch the sunset from up there before heading back to your hotel for the evening.

- Day 2
Luang Prabang
This morning you'll wake early to see the alms-giving ceremony, then return for breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning at Wat Visoun and Wat Aham, two important Buddhist temples. Stop by the Royal Palace Museum to see artifacts from the Lan Xang Kingdom and check out the standing Phra Bang Buddha statue in the temple. Wat Xieng Thong comes next to see the famous Tree of Life mosaic. After lunch, travel to Kuang Si Falls where you'll find terraced pools set in tropical rainforest.

- Day 3
Luang Prabang
You'll cruise down the Mekong River toward the Pak Ou Caves, stopping at Ban Xang Hai Village to learn about Lao-lao whisky and watch the rice wine-making process. Continue on to the Pak Ou Caves, which are carved into the cliff face. On the way back, visit Ban Xang Khong to see how traditional Saa Paper is made before returning to your hotel.

- Day 4
Luang Prabang to Vientiane
The morning is free for you to explore Luang Prabang on your own. In the afternoon, your guide picks you up and takes you to the train station. You'll board Laos' new air-conditioned high-speed train headed to Vientiane, a journey of about 2 to 2.5 hours. When you arrive, a local guide meets you and transfers you to your hotel. The evening is yours to relax or walk around the capital.

- Day 5
Vientiane
Spend the day visiting Vientiane's most significant temples and monuments. Start at Wat Si Saket, a Thai-style temple, then move to Wat Ho Phra Keo, which once housed the famous Emerald Buddha. Visit Pha That Luang Temple, one of Laos' most sacred sites and a national treasure. The Patuxai Monument comes last, a memorial to Laos' independence, and then you'll head back to your hotel.

- Day 6
Vientiane
After breakfast, you'll visit a local market with your guide. Around lunchtime, join a hands-on cooking class where you'll learn to make authentic Lao dishes like papaya salad, fish stew, and chicken larb. You'll eat what you prepare for lunch. In the afternoon, check out Buddha Park, also called Xieng Khuan Temple, a unique and unusual temple complex. End the day sampling Lao beer while watching the sunset along the Mekong River.

- Day 7
Vientiane to Saravane
You'll leave Vientiane with a private drive to the airport for a 1-hour flight to Pakse. Your local guide and driver meet you there and head toward Saravane. Stop at Thateng Village to see how tea and coffee are made. Later, you'll see Tad Lo Waterfall surrounded by lush jungle. Trek through the mountainous southern region with your guide to visit villages of the Alak, Nge, and Katu ethnic minorities before transferring to your hotel in Pakse.

Pakse to Don Khong Island
Begin with a guided visit to Vat Phou Temple Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Khmer-style architecture. Then take a boat trip to the 4,000 Islands where the Mekong River creates thousands of islands. You'll focus on three main islands: Don Khong (the largest), Don Det (the earliest developed), and Don Khon (connected by bridge). Explore Don Khong thoroughly before checking into your hotel on the island.

- Day 9
Don Khong Island
Start the morning walking through a nearby village. Catch a tuk-tuk to Don Khon Island to see the Liphi Waterfalls, which stretch over 10 kilometers. Take a boat to the Khone Falls, the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia at around 21 meters high. After the tour, enjoy a 2.5-hour private drive back to your hotel in Pakse. Spend your final evening taking a stroll along the Mekong River.
