There are many things to love about this tour. One unexpected benefit was that I ended up with a private tour for two days, which was excellent. I found the guide (Demi) informative and genuinely interested in the places we were seeing (even if she's done it a million times). I felt deeply immersed in the history and mythology of the country, and came away with a new appreciation for it. Another major plus was the accommodation. Even though I chose the three-star option, I thought the hotels were good. They were comfortable, did the job. That said, the way the tour was organised was quite confusing. Even though for the sections outside Athens that involved more extensive driving and overnight stays, I had a dedicated driver and guide (Nick and Demi), both of whom were excellent. On the first day, I joined what appeared to be a completely separate tour, and no one, including the guide of the day, seemed to know which wider tour group I was actually part of. My suspicion, which was later confirmed, was that different parts of the itinerary had been subcontracted to different operators. This arrangement also created some unnecessary logistical confusion. Similarly at 7 am the next day when we circled the same few blocks. There was similar confusion on the final day, when Destination Services wanted to arrange a taxi for me, when I could’ve just been dropped off directly. Minor logistical details that were not communicated as “For environmental reasons, please note no other document will be given” could be improved on by better communications ahead of time. None of this should distract from the fact that this was a strong tour, run for the most part by genuinely interesting and engaging people. Based on my experience on the first day, I do think the quality of the guides may vary depending on which operator is running that particular part of the itinerary. However, for the price and the number of sites you get to see, I would still recommend this tour.Show more

Excellent service, constant communication throughout, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and precise. The bus was top-notch—very comfortable, with air conditioning and reclining seats. The driver was highly experienced and drove safely. Breakfasts and dinners were plentiful. We stayed at three- or four-star hotels, and I have no complaints—they were charming, comfortable local hotels with excellent views. At one of them, we even got to enjoy the pool. They picked us up and took us to the airport right on time in suitable vans. They didn’t miss a beat—we came away with a great impression of Greece, and we’d definitely book Tour Radar again for our next trip through Europe. Thank you.Show more

Mykonos was amazing and my favorite! The hotel was up the street from Mykonos town and right next to a bus stop making it easy to get around to all the best places. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond. Paros was okay. The hotel location was okay and the staff was okay, but nothing like what I experienced in Mykonos. The culture was cool there. Santorini was amazing. The travel agency did mess up my booking for the hotel. They sent me one hotel in my itinerary and then booked me at a different hotel, but when I got to the hotel that I thought I was supposed to be at, they called the agency and worked out the details and made it to where I could stay there. Transfers were all great and on time, although the letter said they would call and let hotel staff know day before. That never happened. I always found out morning of which was fine but im a planner and like to know details sooner than that.Show more

For tours departing after September 29th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Destination Services Greece. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
