We don't want to go to the Mount Etna on Day 4 (2 have knee problems). Is it possible to be picked up only to go to Taormina? No stop to beaches (Cala dei Turchi, etc.) planned?

the bus cannot change itinerary but you are free to not get down from the bus for the visit of Mount Etna and enjoy only the visit of Taormina later that day. unfortunately there are no stops at beaches, you will see Scala dei Turchi passing by with the bus!

Do we have a luggage limit on size? Can we do a back pack and checked bag?

I confirm that you can bring up to one small and one big luggage per person.

Sicily was magical & I very much enjoyed this tour very much indeed. Placido our guide was exceptional, incredibly knowledgeable, extremely well organised and a lovely guy, he’s a credit to your company and made the tour a very special experience. Whilst I do not wish to convey any negativity and would not hesitate to recommend this experience to other people, I was surprised to find so many people on the tour. When I booked the tour I was under the impression that I would be joining a small group of 12 - 16 when in fact it varied between 22 - 32 people which was a bit hectic & not quite what I was expecting. Our guide worked extremely hard to keep everything on track and on time which was a credit to him. Whilst the accomodation & meals were all adequate & exceptional value for money, the quality did vary considerably. Thanks & kind regards JillShow more

The itinerary was excellent. The size of the group at first was not acceptable, had close to 50 people. It felt like we were on an hop on and off bus tour as after starting the tour people got off in Catania and others joined in. At that point tour was with 20 people and it was a pleasure. The guide, Placido , was very knowledgable. However he did not have a pleasant disposition, rushed people through, oblivious to the needs of the people in terms of their physical limitations. and hearing disabilities.We had elderly people on the group that could not keep up with the pace. Had problems understanding Placido mainly because he spoke very quickly. Most of the food was great. The acomodations mostly were ok, except for the hotel Il Principe in Catania where we spent more than one night was not acceptable. The bathroom was dirty and had mold. Even after our experience we made our concern known to the front desk, the response was unsympathetic and nothing was done to remedy the issue. The elevator was incapable of carrying the passengers and luggage and broke down. We were forced to use the service elevator which could only acomodate 2 bags and one person at a time. The hotel staff were non existent to assist at these matters. Overall we enjoyed the tour. Thanks.Show more

We don't want to go to the Mount Etna on Day 4 (2 have knee problems). Is it possible to be picked up only to go to Taormina? No stop to beaches (Cala dei Turchi, etc.) planned?

  the bus cannot change itinerary but you are free to not get down from the bus for the visit of Mount Etna and enjoy only the visit of Taormina later that day. unfortunately there are no stops at beaches, you will see Scala dei Turchi passing by with the bus!
