Thank you so much for sharing your feedback on the Grand Classical Tour of Greece! We’re happy you enjoyed the many sights, scenic lunches, and rooms with views. Our coffee stops are chosen in traditional village cafés with lovely views, giving guests a chance to meet locals and enjoy authentic moments of Greek life. The walk near Mount Olympus takes place on the slopes of this emblematic mountain of Greek mythology — a truly impressive natural setting. At the end of September, however, the waterfalls and streams can be dry due to the long summer drought. We also understand your point about the higher entrance fees this year — they have indeed increased significantly, especially for those who love visiting classical sites. We’re always working to keep our itineraries well-balanced between history, nature, and relaxation. Thank you again for your helpful comments — they truly help us improve! Warm regards, The Epos Travel Tours Team

    Asked on February 17th, 2025

Can you please clarify the museum and archeological site visits on the tour and the information under "Additional Services" stating that tickets to these are not included. Do we need to purchase them or does the tour guide arrange for us to pay for them on the day of the visits?

    Tour Details
    • Epos Travel & ToursOperatorWritten February 2025

During this tour we visit the most important archaeological sites of ancient Greece: Ancient Corith, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Olympia, Delphi and Vergina, the tombs of the royal Macedonian family. We also visit the castle of Palamidi in Nauplion and the Byzantine castletown of Mystras. The entrance fees for these sites are not included in the price, your guide will take you to the ticket office and you buy it directly on the day of the visits. We also visit the monasteries of Meteora, a miracle of nature and the caves of DIros in Areopolis, these tickets are included and paid by us.

    Asked on February 8th, 2025

We still have a few questions. A) We really DON'T want to travel on our own so l have checked your departure dates and for what l can see you have a booking for two for a departure on the 26th of May, so if we join those two people there would be 4 of us in the mini van ( or up to 6 pax ). Could you please confirm this? B) At what stage does the trip become a guaranteed departure, as we need to book airline tickets early for the best price. C) We are Australians, so we don't like the compulsory tipping culture, what are your guide lines on this?

    • Epos Travel & ToursOperatorWritten December 2024

We can book your hotel in Athens one day in advance, on December 21. The tourist season is low, this excursion will be exclusively for you with no other participants. This means that you will have to pay extra for this private tour, bringing the total amount to 8000 euros.

Will all the sites on the tour be open when we are supposed to see them because of Christmas!

    • Epos Travel & ToursOperatorWritten December 2024

Archaeological sites and museums are closed on 25, 26 December and 1st January. This means that the plans needs modifying without missing the main points of interests.

Another question: I plan to be coming from Hydra on May 12. What time would the group be meeting to depart from Athens?

    • Epos Travel & ToursOperatorWritten November 2024

Yes, this tour is suitable for solo travelers. You can have your own room for your privacy by paying an extra ammount shown on Tourradar's platform, that is 3450 Euros. The hotels we stay in are a mix of 3* and 4* hotels, very comfortable and well located in the cities we visit. No one has ever complained about our choices. I am afraid you cannot catch the May 12 departure from Athens unless you return to Athens on 11th. Alternatively we can send a man to Hydra to take you to Corinth by land. That means an extra cost of 200 Euros.
