Is it possible to join the tour even though we are in the late 50es? I'm very interested in it, but I've just noticed that it is for under 35. We are healthy, but not a fan of long hiking. I'm thinking of traveling next year, but not sure when is the best date to travel south America either.

Contiki tours have an age restriction, and guests must be between 18-35 years old to be eligible to join. This particular trip is designed for those between the ages of 18-35. If your group includes travelers outside this age range, we've got a wonderful array of other adventures that might be just perfect for you!

May I know what are the internal flights that you are referring to that are included and what flights are not included?

The internal flight we are referring to is the intra air tax, and intra tour air. The flight that is not included is the international flight from where you will be coming from. Please be noted that the intra flight will be purchased separately with the trip rate.

Are Contiki tours possible for travelers aged 36 and 38? We are very adventurous and feel young!

Contiki tours have an age restriction, requiring guests to be between 18-35 years old to participate. As you are outside this age range, you would not be eligible to join the trip. The Contiki trip would start on the 12th of June. Depending where you are traveling from you might need to depart on the 11th in order to ensure you don't miss any part of the Contiki trip.

Which version should I choose for the trips Der Abenteurer and Der Abenteurer-Zug nach Machu Picchu?

The main difference is the Machu Picchu route. One version offers a 1-day trek covering 6-kilometers, while the other version uses a train journey. The itinerary is the same until day 9. Trekkers will start at KM104 and hike for 3.5 hours, while train travelers will have a free morning and join the group in Aguas Calientes later.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 21st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 21st, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Contiki. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Contiki will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Contiki" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.

- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
