A remarkable 28-day route through 15 cities in Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala takes you to UNESCO's Chichén Itzá, Caye Caulker's marine reserve, and Acatenango Volcano trek. The package provides 23 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 3 dinners, and comfortable accommodations from Mexico City's urban center to Antigua's colonial charm, suitable for ages 18+.

    • Days 1-2

      Mexico City

Get to the Metropolitan Cathedral early at 8:30 AM to avoid tour groups. You can walk around the historic center, but use Uber instead of street taxis for safety. As one traveler says: "The Zocalo area feels overwhelming at first, but stick to the main pedestrian streets and you'll get your bearings quickly."

    • Days 3-5

      Oaxaca & Southern Mexico

Take the 6-hour morning bus to Oaxaca. Stay in the historic center to be close to the markets. Book a guide for mezcal distillery visits to help understand the production process. A visitor shares: "Don't miss the textiles workshop in the valley. Seeing the natural dye process was fascinating, and prices were much better than in town."

28 Day Central America Itinerary, incl. Mexico City and Antigua
    • Days 6-7

      San Cristobal de las Casas

Consider motion sickness pills for the mountain roads. When visiting indigenous villages, wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees. Visit the San Juan Chamula church in early morning for the best photos.

28 Day Central America Itinerary, incl. Mexico City and Antigua
    • Days 8-13

      Yucatan Peninsula

Book morning ferries to Holbox to avoid rough afternoon waters. Choose bikes over golf carts on Holbox. They're cheaper and work better on sandy roads. Visit Chichen Itza early before the crowds and heat arrive. One traveler notes: "The cenotes near Tulum are less crowded than the popular ones near Chichen Itza, and just as beautiful."

28 Day Central America Itinerary, incl. Mexico City and Antigua
    • Days 14-16

      Belize's Caye Caulker

Have cash ready for the Mexico exit fee. The water taxi from Belize City takes 45 minutes. Book Hol Chan Marine Reserve snorkeling trips ahead of time. A visitor suggests: "The Split area gets packed by midday, but walk 10 minutes north for quieter beaches."

28 Day Central America Itinerary, incl. Mexico City and Antigua
    • Days 17-28

      Guatemala Highlands

The travel gets more adventurous here with long trips on mountain roads. At Lake Atitlan, use public docks for cheaper boat trips. Pack warm layers for the Acatenango Volcano hike. A recent hiker notes: "The ascent is tough but manageable if you pace yourself. The sunset view of Fuego erupting made every step worth it."

  • 28 Days in Antarctica, incl. Weddell Sea and South Georgia

A 28-day Antarctic adventure covers four major destinations: Ushuaia, South Georgia Island, Elephant Island, and the Antarctic Peninsula. The itinerary includes 9 days in the Weddell Sea studying ice shelves, 3 days in South Georgia, and multiple wildlife viewing stops. Participants enjoy expert lectures and helicopter panorama flights.

    • Days 1-3

      Ushuaia and Drake Passage

Start your journey in Ushuaia, Argentina. Get there a day early to avoid stress from possible flight delays. When the ship leaves through the Beagle Channel, sit on the left side to watch the mountains fade away. The Drake Passage crossing takes about 48 hours - bring motion sickness medicine and secure everything in your cabin, especially near Cape Horn where the water gets rough.

28 Days in Antarctica, incl. Weddell Sea and South Georgia
    • Days 4-6

      En Route to South Georgia

You'll start seeing wildlife as you get closer to South Georgia. Bring a good camera with at least a 300mm lens to photograph the wandering albatross that follow the ship. The temperature usually stays between 35°F and 45°F (2-7°C), but wind makes it feel much colder, so pack plenty of layers.

28 Days in Antarctica, incl. Weddell Sea and South Georgia
    • Days 7-8

      South Georgia Island

You'll take early morning zodiac rides to Salisbury Plain or St. Andrews Bay to visit huge king penguin colonies. Stay 15 feet away from the wildlife and clean your boots between stops - it's required. Watch your step at Grytviken's old whaling station since the ground is uneven.

28 Days in Antarctica, incl. Weddell Sea and South Georgia
    • Days 9-11

      Southern Ocean Transit

While sailing to the Weddell Sea, you can learn about Antarctic wildlife and geology in onboard talks. Look for whales during meals when you're already near windows. You'll probably see your first icebergs during this part of the trip.

28 Days in Antarctica, incl. Weddell Sea and South Georgia
    • Days 12-20

      Weddell Sea Exploration

Ice conditions control everything here. The ship might need to change course often to get through the pack ice. If the weather's good, you can take helicopter rides to see massive icebergs and ice shelves. Pack extra camera batteries because they drain quickly in the cold.

28 Days in Antarctica, incl. Weddell Sea and South Georgia
    • Days 21-22

      Antarctic Peninsula

Landing at Brown Bluff requires good balance on steep beaches. Bring waterproof pants for zodiac rides because you'll likely get splashed. At Kinnes Cove, keep an eye out for leopard seals hunting near penguin colonies.

28 Days in Antarctica, incl. Weddell Sea and South Georgia
    • Days 23-24

      Elephant Island

You probably won't be able to land at Point Wild where Shackleton's crew waited for rescue, but you'll get close enough for photos. The dark cliffs and fog make photography tricky, so shoot in RAW if you can.

    • Days 25-27

      Drake Passage Return

The water usually calms down on the way back. Use this time to organize your photos and catch the final lectures. The ship goes slower through the Drake for a smoother ride.

    • Day 28

      Ushuaia

You'll arrive early morning. Book your departure flight for the afternoon to have enough time for getting off the ship and going through customs.
