Itinerary
- Day 1
Bucharest
You'll arrive in Bucharest and settle in before the 6 pm welcome meeting. If time allows beforehand, take a walk through the Belle Epoch architecture scattered throughout the city or catch some of the nightlife. After meeting your group, you'll head out for dinner where you can try local Romanian dishes and get to know everyone.

- Day 2
Bucharest - Brasov
Start with your local guide for a private tour of Old Town, checking out the sites connected to the 1989 revolution. You'll see Piata Unirii and the Palace of Parliament, which are both massive structures worth seeing. Later, catch a train heading to Brasov, a 13th-century Saxon city set in the mountains with medieval city walls still standing around it.

- Day 3
Bran Castle - Brasov
This morning you're heading to Bran Castle, built in 1382 by Saxons to defend against Turkish invasions. The fortress sits on a clifftop surrounded by pine trees and it's Romania's most famous castle. After exploring, you'll head back to Brasov for a guided walk through the Old Town where you'll see ornate churches, the city walls, and the Black Church, which has darkened walls from a 1689 fire.

- Day 4
Viscri - Sighisoara
You're traveling by private vehicle to Viscri, a UNESCO World Heritage village that's been virtually unchanged for 900 years. There's a fortified church to check out, the oldest in Transylvania, and then lunch with a local family who'll prepare home-cooked food. From there, you'll head to Sighisoara, another UNESCO site, for an orientation walk before having free time to explore on your own.

- Day 5
Sighisoara - Cluj Napoca
Spend time in medieval Sighisoara, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. The streets feel frozen in time, giving you a sense of what the medieval world looked like. In the afternoon, take a train through the pastoral Saxon countryside heading to Cluj Napoca, known as Transylvania's unofficial capital, and walk through its Gothic streets.

Head to Turda Salt Mines, a former salt mine that's now an underground amusement park where you can rent a rowboat, try bowling, or visit the salt mining museum. After that, you'll return to Cluj Napoca for a city tour with a local guide. The rest of your day is free to walk around and see whatever catches your interest.

Cluj Napoca
You'll take a day trip to Hoia Forest, which has a reputation for ghost stories and UFO sightings. Your local guide will lead a 3-hour hike through gentle hills and valleys, and you'll visit the Round Meadow where a UFO was reportedly first spotted. Along the way, you'll see the forest's unusually shaped trees before heading back to your hotel for the rest of the afternoon free.
