- BJBethan· March 15th, 2020Booking & pre-tour: Very good. Booking process was easy. Both Tour radar and Amazing India (tour provider) were easily available to answer any questions and I asked if there was anyone to share with to save paying single supplement- this was approved (so worth asking!!) Tour itself: Tour itself was ok. Hotels were all great. Very good standard/quality considering I'd only paid for 3*. Breakfasts at hotel were all average. (not amazing but certainly good enough to live off - toast was always available at the very least). The tour although it stuck to itinerary for most of it (some sightseeing was changed without being told- only when I asked if we were going somewhere was I told it had changed). However when the itinerary states "free time for your leisure" this literally means sit in your hotel room and do nothing as the hotels weren't located very well for attractions (restaurants/bars/shops/cinema etc) and had nothing at the hotel to keep you occupied. We had drivers but it was always very difficult/a hassle to get them to take us anywhere that wasn't on the itinerary. The tour was in several separate cars and not a mini bus (personally would prefer a minibus as you get to share the experience with others). It also felt like several cars/drivers/guides were used so we would tip more people. *Note they expect you to tip almost everyone!!! This lead to a very uncoordinated tour as there were several people in different places at different times and it was often the case that drivers didn't know where they were going etc so you could say the tour didn't run smoothly (but we are in India!) The Holi celebration was incredible. We all (together) had a truly fantastic day - by far the best day of the tour as the majority ran smoothly, we were all together and everyone had fun. Easy!
