    • Class Adventure TravelOperatorWritten February 2025

We work on a proposal with arrival date Decemeber 19th. Which tour are you looking at? And also, how old are the kids? would you prefer to share 1 quadruple room or 2 rooms are better? Just take into account that qaudruple rooms usually have 2 double beds.

  • J

    Jenna

    Asked on February 3rd, 2025

I read that your rafting excursion excludes someone over 60. I am 64 years old and in good health. In summer time have kayaked daily all my life, I have also been on several rafting excursions in the last few years. Could you tell me if I would be able to take this tour.

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • Class Adventure TravelOperatorWritten February 2025

Indeed, the rafting has an age limit of 60 years old per the provider's policies. Please bear in mind that rafting could be a bit more demanding than kayaking. But instead of the rafting I can offer you this activity: Floating Safari Sarapiqui River - Half day - Group service. This is a very tranquil and safe part of the river, great for observing nature, birds and the rainforest. The tour spans a distance of 11.5 kilometers (7.3 miles). Along the way you can enjoy the opulently lush rainforest with its brilliantly colored plants, animals, and birds in a quiet and relaxed manner.

    Asked on August 27th, 2023

Are we able to do the more relaxed float trip with him? Also, how does it work with him not being able to do the zip line since he is not the right age? Are my husband and I still able to do the zip line as long as we take turns and one of us stays with my soon?

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • Class Adventure TravelOperatorWritten August 2023

Rafting Sarapiqui River La Virgen section (Rapids II): It is a very convenient tour for families with children between 6 and 8 years, who want to enjoy a good fast that requires less experience. About the Zip line: Minimum age 5 years old. The provider was able to lower the age limit because now they put a guide on the small kids to accompany them and assist them.

    • H

      Heather

      TravelerWritten August 2023

Is there a weight requirement for the rafting and zip line? Also, is there a weight limit for these activities?

    • Class Adventure TravelOperatorWritten August 2023

For both activities (36 pounds) there is no problem. Or if you prefer you can book only the Rafting (Rapids II) and Hanging Bridges (without zip line).

Unfortunately, there is no official date for the Festival de la Luz in San Jose 2023, yet. If you would like to visit Costa Rica in December, please bear in mind that December is high season and many hotels are fully booked.

Do I need to arrive/departure at an specific time to the airport for the transportation?

    Flights / Transfers
    • Class Adventure TravelOperatorWritten March 2022

Our recommendation would be to have a flight arriving in San Jose until 3 PM. And for the departure, you need to consider that the transfer from Monteverde to San Jose takes about 4 hours and you have to be 3 hours prior to your flight at the airport for international departures.
