Itinerary
- Day 1
Edinburgh to Oban
You'll head north from Edinburgh to see the Kelpies sculpture, then pass by Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument on your way into the Highlands. Doune Castle comes up next - you might recognize it from Outlander and Game of Thrones. The landscape gets more dramatic as you push toward Glen Coe, and you'll end the day in Oban, a fishing town where dinner features fresh seafood followed by a traditional Scottish ceilidh.

- Day 2
Oban to Isle of Skye
This morning takes you north past Fort William where Ben Nevis, the UK's tallest mountain, sits on the horizon. You'll pass the Glenfinnan Viaduct - that's the Harry Potter bridge - with its striking Highland views behind it. From there, the route leads to the Isle of Skye where you'll spend the night. Later, head to a local pub to try some local ale, whisky, and get a feel for Scottish hospitality.

- Day 3
Isle of Skye to Inverness
The entire day focuses on exploring the Isle of Skye and its otherworldly landscape - waterfalls, ancient mountains, and a dramatic coastline. You'll learn about Viking history, ancient monarchs, and local legends while you're there. After that, you head back to the mainland, stopping at Eilean Donan Castle for photos before visiting Dundreggan Rewilding Centre to learn about Scotland's ancient Caledonian Forest. The drive along the Great Glen takes you to Inverness for the night.

- Day 4
Inverness
Start with an easy walk along Loch Ness shores, keeping an eye out for Nessie. Then drive through the North West Highlands to reach Beauly, a quiet town with a historic Priory you might know from Outlander season two. Next comes Clava Cairns, a mysterious prehistoric burial site with standing stones, followed by Culloden Battlefield where you'll hear about Bonnie Prince Charlie and the 1746 Jacobite Rising. Return to Inverness after that for the night.

- Day 5
Inverness to Edinburgh
This morning you'll visit the Highland Folk Museum to see how people lived in the Highlands centuries ago, then stop at a local whisky distillery for a tasting session. Later, drive to the village of Dunkeld for a walk through its streets and along the River Tay, where you can visit the historic cathedral. You'll head back to Edinburgh by early evening.
