Using the Five Day Islay & Campbeltown Whisky Private Tour on our website as a template, we would suggest the following itinerary for you: Day 1 - Monday 5th October - Glasgow Airport to Islay Day 2 - Tuesday 6th October - Islay's West Coast - This would be the fist of two full days exploring Islay's distilleries, and would include a tour of the production facilities at Kilchoman, a Warehouse Tasting at Bruichladdich and a cask tasting at Bowmore Day 3 - Wednesday 7th October - Islay's South Coast - This day would see you explore the famed distilleries on Islay's Southern Coast, featuring visits to Lagavulin, Ardbeg & Laphroaig. Day 4 - Thursday 8th October - Islay to Campbeltown - The fourth day of the tour would see you return to the Scottish Mainland to visit the Kintyre Peninsula, for visits to the Glen Scotia and Springbank distilleries in Campbeltown Day 5 - Friday 9th October - Campbeltown to Glasgow/Edinburgh - The final day of the tour would see you travel through the beautiful scenery of Argyll and the Loch Lomond and Trossach National Park, before ending your tour at a location of your choice in Glasgow or Edinburgh. I was excited to go on this tour. The booking wasn't cheap at around $2K, but I knew the experience would be worth it. Especially with their stellar reviews. As I watched the COVID-19 epidemic play out, it obviously jeopardized the entire trip. I read their cancellation policy and was still within the window to cancel for a full refund. However, I didn't want to cancel the booking if there was still a chance I could attend. I was ensured through email correspondence a full refund would be given if I cancelled (see pictures). When it became apparent the trip wouldn't happen, I followed up on our agreement for a refund in full. They didn't respond for a few days. After following up again, they told me they were not liable for any refund. I feel disappointed by this type of business behavior. I understand times are difficult, but that does not excuse lying to me and withholding funds I desperately need. I hope this email warns others to be careful of doing business with them.Show more
