Itinerary
- Day 1
Kigali to Musanze
Your driver meets you at Kigali International Airport, and depending on when you land, you'll have time for a city tour that includes the Genocide Memorial Centre. The drive to Musanze takes roughly 2 hours, getting you close to Volcanoes National Park. You'll have dinner and stay overnight in the area.

Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, head to Volcanoes National Park headquarters where a ranger explains what to expect during gorilla trekking. You'll trek in a group of eight or fewer into the forest looking for mountain gorillas, watching for signs like dung, nests, and chewed bamboo. When the group finds them, you spend an hour observing. After lunch, if there's time, you can see Lake Bulera and Lake Ruhondo, two connected lakes in the area.

- Day 3
Golden Monkey Trek to Kigali
Following breakfast, go back to park offices for a golden monkey trek, which offers something different from the previous day. These monkeys are social and playful, often acting out back-and-forth games in the trees. Your group of up to eight spends an hour with the monkeys as they move between branches. Two habituated troops live in the park, with one group containing around 80 to 100 individuals. In the afternoon, drive back to Kigali for your departure flight.
