  We had a wonderful trip. We saw and did so much and our hotels were upgraded which was a really nice unexpected extra. This tour packs in a lot which was amazing though it’s also worth flagging that the distances between the different destinations take a lot of time in the car. So, if you have a bit of extra time and money, we’d advised booking a few extra days inbetween the different destinations to maximise enjoyment. Our driver John Sunil was great. He showed us all the interesting places and explained things along the way. He was considerate of extra things we might enjoy and tailored the trip to include our interests, like stopping for massages for example. Or when we wanted to walk around a tea plantation (in addition to visiting the tea museum), he took us to a great spot and waited for us to walk around. He also organised an additional backwater boat trip we wanted to do. He was very friendly and easy going and we could tell he really cared about making our trip memorable. We only wish we had the time to have spend a few more days on this trip. Also it would have been good to know how far we were on our last stop in Kovalam back to Kochi for our flight. There’s an airport very close to Kovalam, so if you can, we’d recommend flying home from there, instead of the 5hour drive back. John took us back safely to the airport, with time even for breakfast but a flight if you can, would probably be easier for all. An excellent holiday! Would highly recommend this company, plus communication was strong before and during the trip and we’d recommend John’s expertise as a driver and guide.Show more

  That was truly an amazing journey through "god own country" state Kerala with a very accommodating and friendly driver Mr. Sunil. Paylesstoursindia chose for us very nice hotel in very green location, close by the centre. Our houseboat in Alleppay hit the spot and we really felt like in paradise of India. Lovely room and people who served us during the boat ride. The sunset at the rice fields was mesmerizing. Other places like Munnar or Periyar were also very nice and worth travelling despite winding roads with lots of turns. We can say we recommend this tour operator to everyone who would like to visit India, especially Kerala.Show more

  My mother husband and I experienced a good time with Payless tours. They were fast with their communication online and nothing was too much trouble. We had to change accomodation when asked to check what they had booked due to mother’s walking ability. The change was done so efficiently. The drivers knew their way around and were so patient. They were so thoughtful and respectful of my mother who declined to not walk around the tourist icons like temples and choose to see the Indian communities by sitting in the air conditioned car. The drivers/ guides Gulshan and Sulinjohn shared knowledge of Mumbai and Kerala. They communicated with locals for us and took us to some great restaurants. They were genuinely nice people who wanted to show their country to us. We found Tourradar so good my mother and I booked a quick 3 nights at Varinasi with a driver and a guide for such a reasonable price. The accommodation had Ganges River view and walking distance , even for my mum, to the boats for the sunrise boat experience and the Hindi celebration at night. Uday was our tour guide and was a young man of 22 years old and was so proud of his heritage. His English was great and he was kind and caring for my mother. Nothing was set in stone and he adapted our tour according to our wants and needs. I would definitely use Tourradar and recommend them if you are thinking of a tour in India they will work it out for you.Show more

  We did more than just the Kerala tour. Our tour was customized, and it included Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Goa. we spent almost three weeks touring southern India. The itinerary was perfect. We let Payless Tours India know exactly what we wanted to visit, and they made it happen! This our second India tour with Payless Tours India. We requested the same driver who escorted us on our first tour, Mithun Sharma. He was that good. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and told us things about the sites we visited we would never have know about otherwise. We highly recommend taking your India tour with Payless Tours India.Show more

Payless Tours India went over and above to provide us with exactly what we wanted in southern India.The tour was well organized. This is the second time we have booked with them. We had a driver who was wonderful. Mithun Sharma was our driver for our first India tour, and we requested him specifically for this tour.   Correspondence prior our trip was first class and the company were very accommodating in adjusting the trip to fit our requirements. We were not expecting a private driver and this was an added bonus as it made things more flexible for us. Despite researching distances between destinations we were unprepared for the length of journeys in the car due to substantial road works and general traffic. We totally accept this is outside of the tour operators hands but we felt we spent a lot of time in the vehicle. It’s not a criticism but should be taken in consideration. Our driver, Sunil John was absolutely brilliant. Incredibly accommodating, superb fun, helpful and a great companion throughout our journey. We cannot praise him highly enough. Thank you John! With hindsight we should have finished our journey in Marari, which we independently booked, rather than travel all the way to Kovalam only to come back towards Kochi. Sights were incredible, weather perfect, beautiful countryside and beaches,smiley, friendly people, lots of great memories made. Overall, we would definitely recommend Payless and use them again.   As the only person booked on the tour (wasted single supp) it effectively became a private tour. It was a good way to see a lot of Kerala in a relatively short without the hassle of organising everything yourself. However I normally travel on my own, making my own bookings so in some ways it was less enjoyable having no choice. But everything is a trade off. My 3'drivers, Nelson John and Muni were very pleasant and helpful though there were some language difficulties. In the way the hotels were comfortable and the houseboat was great. The best bits were being up in the hills, the houseboat and Kovalam.. The worst bits were the long days in the back of a car, the trips on the visit to the tip of India, too crowded and borimg and the hotel near Munnar. It was effectively closed, I was the only guest, the dinner choice was v limited (and in the country so no other options) and there's was no hot water. The staff were lovely but being the sole guest is slightly creepy. However, overall I enjoyed it and Kerala is a wonderful place to visit.Show more

  We have just comeback from our trip to Southern India with Payless Tours. Good communication before our trip as I had asked for additional days at either end of the holiday, this was agreed and booked very quickly. We had the name and telephone number of our guide before we left. Pick up went smoothly. Our driver/guide was an excellent driver and we felt very safe with him. He could have given us some more info about sites we went to see but he was very attentive and accommodating. The accommodation was as described 3 star but all clean, showers, with working air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Bottled water was provided in every room daily. The hotel in Munnar was rather isolated which meant that we had to eat there both nights, somewhere with a bit more atmosphere/ nearer other hotels/ restaurants would be preferable. The overnight on the Houseboat was great. The two evening entertainments , were both worth seeing, they only lasted an hour. Food was excellent, no issues with upset tummies. Stick to restaurant food and bottled water and you will be fine. A lovely way to see South India. Very safe and well organised. I would recommend this company and this holiday.Show more
