  Beautiful scenery seems to appear around every corner in Sri Lanka. The 13-day route combines ancient ruins, colorful temples, tea plantations, mountains, wildlife and beaches without focusing too heavily on one type of attraction. Sigiriya is an obvious highlight, while Kandy and Dambulla provide fascinating cultural experiences. Nuwara Eliya offers a refreshing change with its cooler climate and green hills, followed by the scenic train journey to Ella. Yala adds plenty of adventure before the relaxed coastal atmosphere of Mirissa. Lanka Safe Tours provides private transportation and a dedicated driver, making the longer journeys much more comfortable. Galle is a lovely final stop and rounds off a very varied Sri Lankan holiday.Show more

  One of those trips where the photographs barely do justice to the scenery. The ancient cities were incredible, with Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa offering a real sense of Sri Lanka’s history. Sigiriya was another standout, while Minneriya added a completely different experience with its wildlife. Dambulla Cave Temple, Matale and the temples around Kandy were fascinating and gave the trip plenty of cultural variety. Nuwara Eliya was beautiful, particularly the tea plantations and cooler climate. The train journey to Ella was probably the most relaxing travel day, with spectacular views throughout. Yala brought excitement with the safari, followed by a much slower pace around Mirissa. The private vehicle was very helpful between destinations. Lanka Safe Tours created a well-balanced journey that combined sightseeing, nature, adventure and relaxation.Show more

Sigiriya, Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa were fascinating, while Minneriya added an exciting wildlife experience. Dambulla and Kandy offered beautiful temples and cultural attractions. The mountain scenery around Nuwara Eliya was stunning, and the train ride to Ella was one of the most enjoyable parts. Yala brought another wildlife adventure before the relaxed atmosphere of Mirissa. Private transport made the longer journeys much easier, especially with so many destinations included.   Every few days brought a completely different side of Sri Lanka. The ancient ruins of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa were full of history, while Sigiriya provided one of the most impressive sights of the journey. Minneriya was another highlight, especially for anyone interested in wildlife. Dambulla Cave Temple and the temples around Matale and Kandy added plenty of cultural depth. The Royal Botanical Gardens were a peaceful break before exploring Kandy further. Adam’s Peak brought a more adventurous experience, and Nuwara Eliya felt almost like another country with its cool weather and tea-covered hills. The train journey to Ella was beautiful and relaxing. Yala brought another exciting safari, followed by beach time around Mirissa. Lanka Safe Tours made the long route manageable with private transport and well-arranged accommodation.Show more

  Sri Lanka really knows how to surprise you. Ancient cities, colorful temples, green mountains, wildlife and beautiful beaches all appeared during the 13-day journey. Sigiriya was spectacular, while Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa gave a fascinating look into the island’s history. Dambulla and the temples around Kandy were equally memorable. The cooler climate of Nuwara Eliya was a welcome change, especially with the tea plantations covering the hills. The train ride toward Ella was one of the most scenic parts of the trip. Yala added an exciting safari experience, and Mirissa was perfect for slowing down near the coast.   13 days was a wonderful amount of time to experience Sri Lanka properly, and this tour gave us an amazing variety of places to discover. We started with ancient history at Sigiriya, Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, then moved through Dambulla and the beautiful temples around Kandy. I especially enjoyed walking around Kandy Lake and visiting the tea museum. The scenery changed completely in Nuwara Eliya, where the green hills and cool weather were refreshing. The train journey to Ella was one of my favorite experiences because the views were incredible. Yala brought an exciting wildlife adventure, while Mirissa was perfect for relaxing by the beach and enjoying whale watching. Our private driver and guide were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable throughout the journey.Show more

  We really enjoyed the food and cultural side of this journey. Every region seemed to have something new to taste, from traditional Sri Lankan dishes to fresh seafood near the coast. Between meals, there was an incredible amount to see. Sigiriya and the ancient cities were full of history, while the temples around Dambulla, Matale and Kandy gave us a deeper appreciation of Sri Lankan culture. The mountain scenery around Nuwara Eliya was stunning, and the train ride to Ella was such a fun experience. Yala was completely different again, with an exciting safari through the national park. We finished with relaxing beach time in Mirissa and whale watching. Our guide was friendly and explained the history and local customs very well.   For me, the scenery was the biggest highlight of this 13-day journey. Sri Lanka has such a remarkable variety of landscapes, and this tour allowed us to experience almost everything. The ancient areas around Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa were surrounded by beautiful greenery, while Sigiriya looked spectacular from every angle. The drive toward Kandy and then into Nuwara Eliya became even more scenic, especially with the tea plantations covering the hills. The train journey to Ella was absolutely beautiful and felt like an adventure in itself. Later, Yala gave us a completely different landscape and an exciting wildlife experience. Mirissa was ideal for slowing down, enjoying the beach and joining the whale watching trip. Our guide and driver were both wonderful, making the long journeys comfortable and giving us plenty of useful local information.Show more
