  We had an excellent experience on this tour. Everything was very well organized from start to finish, with convenient hotel pickup and smooth transportation throughout the day. The visit to Wadi Shab was a real highlight. The hike was enjoyable, and our guide was attentive and supportive throughout. Swimming through the crystal-clear pools, exploring the canyon, and jumping into the water made for an unforgettable adventure. The visit to Wadi Bani Khalid was equally impressive, offering beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. We also had a fantastic time quad biking in Wahiba Sands — it was exciting, fun, and a perfect way to experience the desert. The buffet lunch was delicious and offered a great variety of options. Overall, this tour provided a wonderful mix of adventure, natural beauty, and excellent organization. Highly recommended!Show more

  Don't over think it, do this tour. Oman is a beautiful country, incredibly diverse and you can experience so many different landscapes in a short time. The people are incredibly friendly and welcoming to tourists. GidOman was a great company and all the hotels were great. And Abdullah, our guide for the trip, is a super genius in all things Oman and all around great fella. Probably the best part of the tour was all the little coffee, tea, food and lookout spots that he took us to enroute to each of the destinations that appeared to be in the middle of nowhere. Special mention to Abdullah for working the Wadi Shab, man is nimble.Show more

We explored numerous remarkable locations, but the most memorable part was the desert excursion. The opportunity to ride across the desert and witness the stunning sunset was truly breathtaking.   I had a very enjoyable trip with a great group of people and would certainly recommend the itinerary and places we saw to others who wish to visit this wonderful country. Now would I recommend they do the tour with GidOman? Probably not. 1. I paid a single supplement of 309.67€ (Feb 2026), which for 5 nights works out at 62€ per night. That is insanely expensive. Or at least if it is par for the course in Oman it will certainly deter solo travellers, especially considering the category of the hotels we stayed at - the Al Ayjah hotel was miles from the turtle reserve, the "desert camp" was just off a main road and not at all inviting, the hotel in Muscat... well Muscat's another story. An extra 62€ single occupancy supplement is frankly excessive. 2. Our "guide" Abdullah was fortunately for us a very friendly & helpful person. However, he is best suited as an escort for a small group of maybe up to 4 persons, not as a guide for a larger group of 14. We were given NO information about the country during the tour - geography, history, culture, economy, etc. - especially considering there was no microphone on the bus, so he basically had nothing to do during the whole trip. Most people in our group complained about the lack of information, so it's not just me. 3. You advertise a group size of 3-11 persons. There were 14 in our group! OK, there may be a justification for admitting a 12th person, but 14 is just greed. And what did we get in return? Lower-category hotels? How do you explain that? As you can see, there isn't too much to recommend about the organisation of the tour and it's quite possible that someone else from our group voices a similar opinion. If anybody's thinking about doing this trip in the future, I hope they realise they won't be getting their money's worth. Sad but true.Show more

This note represents my wife: Sylvia Laudien-Meo and myself Frank Meo. This is the very first time we're writing a notice of this nature. 1. It's been well documented by our fellow participants regarding the accommodations throughout of trip - we received the cheapest hotels (the better hotels were in fact available ) - horrible locations (far from city center). and being lied to is rather disappointing on many levels! 2. The tour guide we had was Abdullah, he was extremely nice, very friendly and nice to be around. It ends there. He had zero knowledge of the country or chose not to share any of it with us. Can you you image traveling in a bus for 3-4 hours and not sharing a SINGLE WORD about "your home great" land of Oman. So incredibly disappointing - AND truth is we do like him! 3. Group size - we were told 10 - maybe 12 we have 14! Another falsehood. 4. Imagine being dropped sophie, she still talking to you at a museum and your guide simply disappears. This is not a trip to Disneyland!!! You can only image how angry and truly saddened we all were for a once in a lifetime adventure and to leave with zero knowledge. 5. I could continue - but I think you get the idea and level of frustration my wife and I felt -we all did. As I stated this correspondence is "for the moment" between us I await your response to see our next legally and social media wise. 6. Truthfully, we were given an escort service and not a thoughtfully inspiring guide - it was truly imbasssing experience. Your tour description was completely a falsehood! The Intercity Bawsher in Muscat is part of the same Intercity network as the hotel initially listed, maintaining the same standards. Our website clearly states that the hotel may be the one listed or a similar alternative. The program does not guarantee a beachfront location, and we made sure the hotels selected were centrally located in the city and appropriate for your group. Tour Guide: Our guide, Abdullah, is a professional with many years of experience and has received consistently positive feedback from other participants on this same tour. This is the first time we have received critical comments regarding his performance. Nevertheless, we will review this feedback with him to continue improving the quality of our service. Group Size: We acknowledge that the group for your tour was slightly larger than initially stated. The maximum size has now been updated to 15 participants on our website to reflect accurate information. Tour Experience: All scheduled activities and sites in the tour program were fully conducted as planned. During the tour, our team also made additional gestures of hospitality, such as arranging refreshments and complimentary museum entry, to make the journey more comfortable for the group.   A very enjoyable short tour through a fascinating and surprisingly varied country. We visited the coast, the desert and the mountains as well as the capital city, Muscat in a five day tour. Highlights included the swim at the Wadi Shab, dune bashing at the desert camp and seeing the impressive modern architecture of the Oman Across Ages Museum. Additionally we spent time at Wadi Bani Khalid, visited the Dhow workshop at Sur and had the option to go to see turtles one evening (though I personally passed on this, having seen turtles previously in Equatorial Guinea). Our guide Abdullah ensured the tour went without a hitch.Show more

The itinerary was very well planned and allowed us to see a great variety of landscapes, culture, and history, from beautiful deserts and mountains to charming towns and breathtaking coastlines. Our guide, Abdullah Alhabsi, was outstanding: extremely professional, knowledgeable, and always kind and attentive. He explained the culture, traditions, and history of Oman in a very interesting and clear way, and he made sure we always felt comfortable and well taken care of!
