Itinerary
- Day 1
Leh
You'll land at Leh Airport and head to your hotel to start adjusting to the altitude. Spend the afternoon getting your bearings by checking out Leh Palace and the white-domed Shanti Stupa sitting on a hilltop above the town. After that, wander through the local market where you'll find authentic Tibetan handicrafts including prayer wheels and pashmina shawls if you're interested in picking up souvenirs.

- Day 2
Leh
Following breakfast, you'll drive to the Sham Valley memorial built by the Indian Army, then continue on to Kali Mata Mandir and the 11th-century Spituk Gompa monastery. The day takes you to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib next, where you can experience the optical illusion at Magnetic Hill. From there, head to the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers before driving back to your hotel by evening.

- Day 3
Leh to Nubra Valley
After breakfast you'll head out to Nubra Valley, crossing the Khardungla Pass at 18,360 feet, which is the world's highest motorable pass. The drive shows off incredible Himalayan scenery including a record-breaking glacier bridge along the way. You'll arrive at Nubra Valley, known as the valley of flowers, sitting at around 10,000 feet altitude, and settle in for the night.

- Day 4
Nubra Valley to Leh
Following breakfast, you'll reach the silver sand dunes near Hunder village where the Shyok and Nubra Rivers meet. Plan on doing a camel safari here on double-humped Bactrian camels, which have a historical connection to the old Silk Route. Next you'll visit Diskit Monastery, the oldest in the valley, to see its impressive Buddha statue and check out the local village market before driving back to Leh through Khardung-La Pass.

Leh to Pangong TSO Lake
You'll depart early with packed breakfast and drive toward Pangong TSO Lake, the world's highest saltwater lake at 4,350 meters altitude. On the way you'll stop at Shey Palace, the former summer palace of the Ladakh King, and visit Hemis Gompa monastery and Thiksey Monastery with its views of the Indus Valley. After crossing Changla Pass at 5,486 meters, you'll reach Pangong Lake as evening sets in.

- Day 6
Pangong TSO Lake to Tsomoriri Lake
The morning involves exploring Pangong TSO Lake after breakfast. By afternoon you'll start driving toward Tsomoriri Lake, Ladakh's largest lake at 15,075 feet altitude, traveling via Tsagala, Chushul, and Mahe Bridge. Keep an eye out for Himalayan marmots in the landscape. You'll arrive at the lake in the evening, an area known for having 34 different bird species.

Tsomoriri Lake to Leh
Following breakfast you'll head back toward Leh, stopping at Tsokar Lake on the way. Visit Puga Geo-Thermal Gas springs and check out Nomadic Rebo tents at Polo-Kongka Pass. There's time for photographs at Tsokar Lake, a wetland area, and if you're interested you can swing by Thukje village monastery before returning to Leh for the night.
