Arrival in Kathmandu
A driver will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to your hotel in Bhaktapur. That evening, there's a welcome dinner where your guide will go over what to expect during the trip and answer any questions you might have.

Kathmandu Sightseeing
After breakfast, you'll head to Swayambunath, the Monkey Temple, which is a Buddhist pilgrimage site centered around a small stupa. From there, you'll make your way to Kathmandu Durbar Square, the former royal palace of the Kathmandu Kingdom and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later in the day, you'll visit Pashupatinath, an important Hindu pilgrimage site that sits along the holy Bagmati River.

Shivapuri National Park Trek
Starting after breakfast, you'll trek through Budanilkantha and see Narayanthan, one of the oldest temples in the Kathmandu Valley. Next, you'll enter Shivapuri National Park, where you can find subtropical vegetation and over 318 bird species like eagles, flycatchers, and barbets. The park is home to Indian leopards, clouded leopards, and Himalayan black bears among other wildlife. From the resort, mountains like Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang are visible on clear days.

Chisapani Trek
Early breakfast comes before you hike to Chisapani, a village whose name means 'cold water' and is known for panoramic mountain views from Annapurna to Langtang. This is an easy, comfortable trek that takes you through natural landscapes with terrace farms and paddy fields, and you'll get a sense of how people have lived in the Kathmandu Valley since ancient times.

Landmarks Chisapani - Day 6
Nagarkot Trek
After an early breakfast, you'll trek toward Nagarkot, a village sitting at 2,175 meters on the rim of the Kathmandu Valley. This area is known for Himalayan views including Mount Everest, particularly at sunrise and sunset, and you'll find scrubland covered with trails and butterflies throughout. The route takes you through forest and easy hill climbs, and you'll have time to watch the sunset from a viewpoint at the hilltop.

Landmarks Nagarkot - Day 7
Nagarkot to Changunarayan to Bhaktapur
You'll start early to catch the sunrise from the Nagarkot viewpoint, then return to the hotel for breakfast. After that, you'll walk along the road to Telkot and through beautiful forest on a trek that's easier than previous days. About 3 to 4 hours into the walk, you'll reach Changunarayan Temple, considered the oldest temple in Nepal with many stories surrounding its origins. From there, you'll drive back to Bhaktapur.

Bhaktapur Sightseeing
Following breakfast, you'll explore Bhaktapur, an ancient Newar city located about 8 miles east of Kathmandu. It was once the largest of the three Newa kingdoms in the Kathmandu Valley and served as Nepal's capital during the Malla Kingdom until the 15th century. The city is known for its rich cultural heritage, temples, and detailed wood, metal, and stone artworks.

Departure
After breakfast, depending on when your flight is scheduled, you'll be transferred to the airport for your departure.
