  After my wonderful nine-day tour Depth Touch Of Sri Lanka, I would like to start my review with a big thank you to my driver and tour guide Wipul. With his friendliness, dedication, commitment and love for his country, he made the trip a very special experience for me. On my private round trip, I was able to get to know the mountains as well as the coastal regions and individual places, and the variety and diversity of the different regions of the island inspired me. It was always Wipul's knowledge and explanations that brought the country's history, culture and way of life to life for me. His sense of humor and his interest in cultural issues meant that even long car journeys were never boring. Overall, the tour was very well organized and professionally prepared by Capital Lanka, even if more flexible modifications would have been desirable in places. Communication with Capital Lanka was also good and they responded promptly to any questions. The different accommodations were varied and each very nice in itself, so that you could feel comfortable there after a long day of traveling and enjoy the delicious food. In Nuwara Eliya, I particularly liked the fact that the hotel was so centrally located that I was able to explore the city and its sights independently. We all enjoyed the tours and activities organized by Capital Lanka. They ranged from a scenic train ride, a beautiful trip on a raft, followed by a stay and lunch in a traditional village, to an impressive dance show. There was also a guided tour and tasting at an interesting tea factory and a stop at a turtle care center that does impressive work. There was also the opportunity to book a safari in the national park to observe animals and a boat trip to watch dolphins at our own expense. During this program, there were always longer free periods that could be used to relax in the hotel. If you like to be active, you can book other great activities such as trekking, surfing etc. that the island offers. Wipul was a great support and help, especially with this additional program. With his wealth of ideas, patience and great knowledge of other possible activities, he really enriched my trip. A clear 5 stars for him as a driver and guide. I will have fond memories of this tour for a long time to come!Show more

He made sure we also experienced Sri Lankan daily culture and was always concerned for our requests and needs as well as the tour inclusions . This was fantastic, a really amazing experience of Sigiriya Rock, a short boat trip, amazing cooking class and food, followed by a Safari with elephants. We cannot recommend them or their hospitality enough, it was a sensational experience and I wish we could have stayed longer.Show more

  We had a brilliant time on the Depth Touch of Sri Lanka tour with Sakun our guide! We saw and learnt so much about Sri Lanka in such a short period of time. The views from Sigiriya Rock were stunning and well worth the climb. We loved seeing the elephants on safari in Minneriya/Kaudulla National Park, and felt so privileged to see a leopard in Yala! The train to Ella and climbing Little Adam’s peak were also very special. The tour was extremely well organised and everything went really smoothly. The hotels we stayed in were lovely - thank you for organising them Capital Lanka Tours! Sakun has been a brilliant guide and friend to us. He has been incredibly patient, an excellent organiser, very respectful but ready for a joke too! The next day’s itinerary was always clearly explained at the end of the day. We always felt safe with Sakun’s guidance and really appreciated his careful driving. Thank you so so much! He was the best tour guide we could’ve asked for and we are so happy we had him. 10/10 for Sakun! The only part of the tour we didn’t enjoy so much was the visit to Damro tea factory. It was a massive plantation and the factory itself was interesting, but we feel that the cost of the drive round the plantation was a bit steep for what it was. Perhaps a visit to a smaller, more authentic factory would be a nicer experience? We would definitely recommend booking with Capital Lanka Tours and have Sakun as your guide. Just for reference for fellow travellers, we were able to pay for the entrance fee to Sigiriya, the botanical gardens in Kandy and the tea plantation drive with credit card. The other activities needed to be paid for in cash.Show more
