  This was my first time to the Asian part of the globe and the experience was made so wonderful by capital tours and our guide Udara! I had so many questions pretrip, and they were patient and answered each promptly and politely. Upon arrival, we were well taken care of. Most of our hotels were outstanding. The service was great and the Sri Lanka people are the most welcoming people I have ever met! Although going to one tourist place after another is not the best way to know a country, it is the only way for two middle aged women to feel safe and taken care of. We enjoyed learning about culture and religion. We loved the cooking lesson and the hiking. There was so much beauty all around us! We have told all our friends of our excellent experience. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.Show more

  Had an absolutely amazing trip with Capital Lanka Tours. I did a shortened version of this trip and it was simply stunning. The weather was great, all the sites we visited were simply breathtaking. My favourite part was the traditional cooking experience in a traditional village surrounded by a small lake and rice fields. And the elephant safari is an absolute must as well. Ended up seeing over 100 elephants. Highly recommend Capital Lanka Tours.Show more

It was 3hrs driving of our way 6 all together, for a poor attaction. The driver was informative,knowledgeable, accommodating, helpful and fun. As I had booked the trip with a friend and had therefore each booked a double room with single beds, we were surprised that we had to sleep in the same bed for a few nights (the narrowest was 140 cm wide). Unfortunately, there were also "sales events" such as the gemstone factory and subsequent dance event or the one with the oils. It would have been better not to include these in the program. Instead, the tea plantation was a little more extensive, as there was only a short tour (15 minutes) in the hope of selling a lot of tea. All in all, however, it was a very impressive trip with lots of great experiences and we certainly haven't been to Thailand for the last time.Show more
