Solo travelers are very welcome to join this group departure. Many of our guests travel on their own, and our tours are designed to be friendly and comfortable for solo travelers. Room sharing with another solo traveler is usually possible, subject to availability closer to the departure date. If a suitable roommate is not available, a single room supplement would apply, but we will always try our best to arrange sharing first if that is your preference. Yes, we can certainly arrange pre-tour and/or post-tour accommodation for you, including airport transfers, depending on your arrival and departure plans. Our group tours typically attract an international mix of travelers, most commonly from Europe (including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, the UK), as well as Australia, North America, and occasionally Asia. English is the working language of the tour, and our guides are fluent and experienced with international groups.

What time do we arrive in Tashkent after Farghana please? My flight on the last day is very early morning at 2:30am (on 26th of May). Will I have enough time to get to the airport?

Is there laundry service available on the tour?

Yes, you can give your clothes for laundry in Bukhara and pick them up the next day.

Regrettably I cannot rate this tour as the recent outbreak of war in the Middle East prevented me from travelling to Uzbekistan. Unfortunately the onset of the hostilities and the uncertainties they caused to air travel occurred about 22 days prior to the tour departure date. Unluckily, within the 30 days with a 100% penalty for cancellation time frame as per T&C. Nevertheless, the extraordinary circumstances encouraged me to reach out to Steppe Journeys in the hope that they would allow a postponement of the tour. Disappointingly this was refused on the grounds that Uzbekistanis was safe and that one would not have to fly there via Dubai. No comfort considering that my flights to and from Tashkent had already been booked via Dubai and Muscat. No free cancellation would've been permitted at this point in time. Seeing no other way to limit my financial loss I pleaded with Steppe Journeys to cancel what could still be cancelled and credit the saved amount towards a future tour. After initially raising some hope for a 100% credit Steppe Journeys informed me that I would have to incur a 100% penalty. Naturally, I was very disappointed and communicated my feelings to the operator. To my great surprise did he reply, and more surprisingly yet it contained an offer of a 50% discount for any future tour. I leave it to the readers of this review to rate this outcome. Needless to say, I'm grateful for Steppe's change of heart and hope to be able to make use of their offer. (Hoping in the meantime that it remains valid.) If you watch this space you may yet find my rating ( hopefully 5 star ) of a Steppes tour.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 22nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 22nd, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Steppe Journeys. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Steppe Journeys will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Steppe Journeys" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of Steppe Journeys. Please familiarize yourself with the Steppe Journeys payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
