Asked on May 14th, 2024I am 79 years old, reasoably fit, and I am interested in your 8 days Knuckles Trekking Tour starting in Colombo. The question is how much actual walking would I do every day? I am ok with rugged terrain, but not very good on long uphill stretches. What is the weather situation end of June? Rain, temperature?

Traveler•Written May 2024I am a bit confused about how strenuous this trek is. You told me that there is about 3 hours walking a day, and the whole trek is marked as easy. Looking at the day 4 script, it says 'Leave from Heeloya 6.30 Am, walking 35 Km Cross to village & Jungle trekking'. So I have to walk 35 km that day? And on day 7, do I have to climb Adam's peak, which takes at least 6 hours according to a google enquiry?

Please do not be confused about how strenuous this trek is. I told you that there is about more than 6 hours of walking each day. However, we will make it easier for you with a minimum of 3 or 4 hours of walking, and the whole trek is marked as easy. Day 1: Leave from Heeloya at 6:30 AM and walk 35 km (we have reduced the hard trekking to 20 km). You will have to walk 15 km that day. We have a resting place where you can rest for a few hours. Day 7: You will climb Adam's Peak, which takes at least 6 hours. It is an easy trek, but some areas are more challenging. If you need rest on the last day, you can book an extra night.
