    Asked on September 11th, 2025

What is the difference between the 13 or 11 day tours? Both going to northern Ireland. Were a group of 4 and sorting out who wants to do what?

    Tour Details
    • Irish Experience ToursOperatorWritten September 2025

Both the 13-Day Full Irish Experience and the 11-Day Ultimate Irish Experience explore Ireland's highlights from the Wild Atlantic Way to Northern Ireland, but there are key differences: 13-Day = more destinations, more downtime, slightly more relaxed. 11-Day = slightly quicker, still packed with adventure and Northern Ireland included.

  • H

    Harry

    Asked on August 29th, 2025

Do we need to get an ETA (electronic travel authorization) to travel into Northern Ireland?

    Tour Details
    Visa
    • Irish Experience ToursOperatorWritten August 2025

From November 27 2024, if your trip includes Northern Ireland (which is part of the United Kingdom), travellers from USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will need an ETA – Electronic Travel Authorisation. Think of it like a digital visitor pass – quick and easy to apply for. ETA Overview: Cost: £10 (GBP). Applies from: November 27 2024. Where to get it: Online or via the UK ETA app (iOS & Android). What you need: Passport, email address, credit/debit card or digital wallet. You must apply before travel if you're entering Northern Ireland – but you can travel to the UK while waiting for a decision. If your Irish Experience Tour doesn't enter Northern Ireland, you won't need an ETA.

    Nina

    Asked on June 2nd, 2025

Would it be possible to stay at the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel in Clifden which is on the Premium Package? If so would there be an extra charge and if so how much? I've always wanted to stay in a castle:)

    Accommodation
    • Irish Experience ToursOperatorWritten June 2025

This is a Castle Hotel rather than an actual castle - I'm afraid you might be left a bit disappointed. Actual castle stays are limited, but I always suggest you try and stay in a castle pre or post tour?

    • Irish Experience ToursOperatorWritten March 2025

Our 13-Day Wild Irish Experience is designed to be easygoing, immersive, and accessible—making it a fantastic option for seniors or anyone looking for a slower-paced, enriching adventure. Physical Rating: Easy to Moderate (but all flexible & optional!). There is some walking involved—especially during scenic stops, guided walking tours, and visits to natural sites. All walks are optional and gentle, with time to explore at your own pace. You'll have plenty of downtime built in: free time in towns, optional excursions, and relaxed starts on some days. If you're mobile and comfortable walking short distances, you'll be fine.
