As a solo traveller, you have the choice to book in a twin share option and potentially share with someone else of the same sex booked in the same room type. Or you can pay the solo supplement to make sure you have your own room throughout the tour. On average for this tour, the solo supplement is $1040 NZD.

Is it overnight trains or day time trains? It says 2 overnight trains but itinerary says day trains?

There are two train journeys on this itinerary, both in the morning after breakfast. Day 3 - After a relaxed breakfast we will transfer to Hong Kong West Kowloon station and board the high speed train to Guilin. Our border formalities will be completed in Hong Kong and therefore we will need to be at the station a couple of hours before. The train journey will take three hours arriving into Guilin in the late afternoon. Day 8 - This morning, we will take the bullet train to Beijing, which takes about 4hrs 30minutes.

do u accept booking for one traveller only??

Yes, absolutely - solo travellers are very welcome and most of our trips will have a mix of couples, friends and solo travellers booked. Single rooms can be booked at an additional cost of $400, if opting to twin share, you will be roomed with a travel of the same gender.

Due to the vast size of China, and the must-visit sites, there needs to be a lot of travelling involved. Really pleased that HK was added to the itinerary (another reason why l chose this trip) but awareness of a slower pace would be good due to the amount of travelling prior to arrival. Overall my feeling is that the trip is not a holiday, but it is an experience and an excellent introduction to what life is like in China. I enjoyed this experience, and came back for a rest, but am glad l went!Show more
