  My selection of World Travel Experience as the go-to tour was very much due to the service standard of Ms Vijeta who was very proactive yet accommodating in making arrangements to my itinerary. This was then backed up with an operations team who had the unenviable task of ironing out any problems that may arise during the tour. Led by Mr Saurabh, they performed with efficiency. I had 2 drivers during the whole tour: Mr Narender in India and Mr Buddha in Nepal. They were both excellent, always punctual, courteous and carried out their task navigating the chaotic roads safely. WTX provided different guides for each of the cities and they were all very professional. Special mention though to Guides Raghunath Yadav in Agra and Mr Navaraj Shrestha in Nepal especially for their impressive and extensive knowledge spanning history, culture and religion. They were yet also very friendly, approachable and accommodating, hitting very much the golden standard. The hotels that were provided were decent but a better selection of hotels would have made it better with regards to a more accessible and central location and cleanliness in India. No problems though for the hotel in Nepal. The included breakfast was generally good. Overall I would say that the service provided for in this trip was good to excellent. Given for what was paid for the tour, better quality hotels as mentioned above and perhaps an awesome experiential additional meal thrown in could have elevated my ratings to 5 stars.Show more

  We signed up for a group tour and were disappointed to find there were just the two of us, but we know that is a function of who signs up for the dates we chose. Overall, the tour was okay with a mix of good and bad. What we liked: Communication from the office was excellent before and during the tour. Very quick responses from the tour operator. Airport pickup was flawless with our driver Pradeep waiting for us at the Delhi airport. Tour guides were okay, but not exceptional. The drivers were fantastic. Pradeep was an excellent driver and was always calm in the crazy traffic. Our Nepal driver was great too (we never caught his name). The itinerary was perfect with just the right amount of time in each location, and we liked having some free time in each location. What was not great: The tour description states drivers are fluent in English. This was not the case. Neither driver could speak English beyond a few basic words. This makes for long drives since there is no guide in the car when traveling between cities. We were also concerned there were no seatbelts readily available in our cars. We were able to dig one out in India, but our car in Nepal did not have anything for the belt to hook into. A big surprise was all but one activity (short elephant ride in Jaipur) was NOT included in the tour price. We had to pay cash for all other activities. We spent around $30 USD extra per day for two people. We have taken other tours booked through Tour Radar in other parts of the world where most fees were included with the tour price. We were quite surprised with all the additional fees on this tour. The program does say monument entry is not included but we did not realize that everything is a monument. It seems there are several activities that are not offered if there is not a group. We were not offered: a Leopard Safari, Elephant Tour, Jeep ride, Turban/Saree tying, astrology/palm, dinner/show at Chowki Dahni in Jaipur and Tonga Ride, Kalakriti show in Agra. Our guide in Kathmandu did offer an evening dinner and show but we declined because we enjoyed Hotel Moonlight so much and chose to enjoy the roof top terrace there instead. We would have done the Chowki Dahni dinner in Jaipur if we had known about it…some of the problem may because our driver did not speak English and we only had a guide for a half day in Jaipur. HOTEL REVIEW: We opted for the 3-star hotels and would strongly recommend upgrading to the 4 or 5 star options. Delhi – Hotel Surya was in a rough neighborhood with not much available for restaurants. The breakfast was not great, we had a boiled egg, toast, bad coffee for breakfast. Ate dinner there one night and it was just ok. Thin towels and very old robes. The outlets are very loose, so it was hard to get a good charge. Broken bedside light. There was a strong insecticide smell in the hallways. Had to run water for 10 minutes before it would get hot. Only a few people spoke English. This was the worst hotel of the trip. Jaipur – Lilypool was better. Spacious rooms, nice bathrooms, loose outlets again. Breakfast was okay. We did not try the restaurant for dinner. Lots of garbage, cows and dogs near the hotel. Agra - Raj Vilas had issues with wi-fi. The last night we could not get wi-fi to work on the TV at all even after having someone look at it. Thin towels, no views, loose electrical outlets. Good location. Husband woke up with several mosquito bites. Okay breakfast. Highly recommend the nearby Salt Café for great food with many international choices and a great view of the Taj Mahal. Kathmandu - Hotel Moonlight was amazing; we loved this hotel! Most everyone spoke English and were very helpful. We ate in the restaurant several times, food was very good. There is a nice staff at the bar as well. Roof top terrace was very nice with great views. Excellent breakfast with bacon, made to order omelets, French toast and fruit...along with Indian options. The highlights were the Taj Mahal in Agra and the sunrise drive to view Everest (far in the distance). The tour was okay, but I recommend trying a different company.Show more

  I chose this group tour because I was looking forward to meeting new people and because, as a 27-year-old woman, I didn’t want to travel alone through India and Nepal. When I was picked up at the airport, I asked the tour guide when I would get to meet the other participants. It was only then that I found out I had booked the tour entirely on my own and that no one else had signed up for it. At first, this was quite a shock to me, as I had fully expected to be traveling with other participants. I had deliberately chosen a guided group tour so that I wouldn’t have to travel alone. The description does mention 1–10 participants, but I had hoped that there would be some kind of notification if no one else had booked the same tour for that time period. I’m not sure if I misunderstood the tour description, but to me, a group tour means something different. Had I known that I would be traveling completely alone for 10 days, I wouldn’t have booked this tour. However, for families, couples, or small groups, I can definitely recommend it. Once I got over the initial shock, I really enjoyed the tour. The tour guides were very competent, and I always felt well taken care of. The hotels didn’t necessarily meet European hygiene standards, but they were still absolutely fine. The hotel in Delhi was located directly on a busy street, which made it very noisy and difficult to sleep. The second hotel was already much better — it was cleaner, and from the very first moment, I felt a bit safer than before. Unfortunately, it was extremely noisy, and there was a lot going on in the hallway late into the night. It often felt as if people were having a party right next to my bed. The tour guides in India were all excellent and had an impressive amount of knowledge. In each city, there was a different local guide, and each had their own unique style of guiding, which was very interesting. What I found a bit unfortunate, though, was that in every place, the guides would take me to different shops (carpets, gemstones, mosaics, etc.), and I often felt quite pressured to buy something. The driver in India was absolutely wonderful! He always checked in to make sure I was doing well and made me feel very safe throughout the trip. The tour guide and driver in Nepal were also fantastic! I felt completely comfortable, and everything was explained very well. I truly felt well taken care of at all times. Communication with the tour management and the drivers was always easy and available at any time. Whenever there was a problem or question, I could reach out immediately and always received a quick response.Show more

  We have just returned from an incredible family adventure through the Golden Triangle in India—New Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra—as well as a memorable visit to Kathmandu, Nepal. Our trip was organised by World Experience and booked through TourRadar as part of an 8-person group tour. From the very beginning, communication via WhatsApp with World Experience and the local guides was smooth and efficient. Having private transportation and knowledgeable local guides in each city made a huge difference and truly elevated our experience. I highly recommend opting for organised transport and local guides to get the most out of a trip like this. We stayed in triple rooms with our 22-year-old daughter, and breakfast was included at all the hotels. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts—delicious and full of local flavors, which we always love to explore while traveling. It is worth noting though that 4-star hotels in India do not always match European standards in terms of services and facilities. Our driver in India was very experienced, and we felt safe throughout the journey. Still, driving in India is a world of its own—traffic is chaotic, with frequent honking and overtaking, and we had quite a few breath-holding moments on the road! In Kathmandu, The Moonlight Hotel was the hidden gem of our trip. We loved everything about it—the central location, the charming courtyard, the delicious food, the warm and helpful staff, and the lovely triple room with a view.We fell in love with the city and its heritage. All of our guides were knowledgeable and insightful, and their tips and recommendations really enriched our experience. They took us to excellent local restaurants that were both high-quality and reasonably priced. We absolutely plan to return to India and Nepal in the future to explore more of these fascinating countries!Show more

Things to consider: If going to Nepal: make sure you get a double entry VISA. Exchange currency to Nepalese rupees. Ask the guide how much money to allocate for Entrance fees as we did not know we’d be paying more entrance fees in Nepal. Try all the yogurt drinks and desserts — they are delicious ! Accommodations at JustABirding (Dharamsala), and Hotel Moonlight (Nepal) are excellent! Get an E-Sim for seamless communication /whattsapp. Check baggage limits on domestic flights and pre-purchase extra baggage fees if needed. WTX has been excellent in answering queries and remained supportive throughout the tour. Thank you!Show more

We recommend going for a 4-5 star hotel ratings with locations close to restaurants or markets that you can walk around. Double check your Visa entry if going to neighboring countries, as well as change in foreign currency. Be prepared to pay Entrance fees not included or mentioned in your itinerary. Buy e-Sim (we used Airalo and it’s been great). Stay calm and enjoy the ride!Show more

  We would not use this provider, World Travel Experiences, again. This was not a fully-guided tour. There were dozens of hours alone in a car with a driver who didn't speak English well before we were dropped off on our own to a hotel or the airport or handed over to a local city guide. The airline connections with IndiGo airlines were changed without prior notice, resulting in two wasted travel days without seeing anything and a long drive from Delhi to Agra getting us there late around midnight Hotel in Agra (Taj Villa) was horrible with only one bed in the room, no heat, and very dirty. Communication was poor and this tour did not meet expectations. That being said, Kathmandu, the Taj Mahal, the Jama Mosque and the Amer Fort were all worth seeing. The optional tour where you could ride, feed, play with, and paint the elephants was phenomenal. The Lilypool Hotel in Jaipur was excellent.Show more
