Dear Paul, Thank you very much for sharing your detailed feedback with us. We truly appreciate the time you took to explain your experience, as communication is key for us and your comments help us continue improving. First, I want to sincerely apologize for the difficulties you faced in reaching our team during your trip. We fully understand how frustrating this must have been. We have already implemented several measures to prevent this situation from repeating, including strengthening our communication channels. Although our main point of contact continues to be the platform where your booking was managed, we have now added three dedicated WhatsApp lines so guests can easily reach us at any time. Regarding Manuel Antonio National Park Tour you are right — the information about the Tuesday closure and the resulting adjustment in operation was not clearly stated on the platform and may lead to confusion. We are already working on correcting this to ensure future travelers receive clear and timely information before their arrival. About the free time you experienced, we understand your perspective. To better support guests who prefer more structured days, we now offer a catalog of optional excursions available on-site, allowing each traveler to tailor the experience to their interests and pace. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We are deeply committed to improving, and your experience will help us strengthen both transparency and communication throughout the entire journey. All the best, Paola & Destination Services Team

    • Destination Services Costa RicaOperatorWritten January 2026

The national parks do indeed offer treks suitable for wheelchairs. If shared transport doesn't meet your needs, private transportation is always an option. It's important for wheelchair users to have an accompanying person, as guidance is only provided during the activities themselves.

how much is it to extend one night at manuel antionio delay transfer on day to san jose

    • Destination Services Costa RicaOperatorWritten January 2026

The costs per adult per night in San Jose start around 99 Euros, including the airport transfer, depending on your choice of accommodation. For Manuel Antonio, it's approximately 134 Euros per adult, subject to availability. Since February is a popular time, we recommend booking as soon as possible and sharing your approximate budget with us so we can explore options for any additional nights, especially in Manuel Antonio, where availability is a bit more limited.

If we are on a flight that arrives in San Jose at 10:30, will we still be able to get a transfer to the hotel. Also, if we have a 2:30 pm flight departing San Jose on our last day of the tour, is this enough time to get from Manuel Antonio to the San Jose airport?

    • Destination Services Costa RicaOperatorWritten January 2026

Yes, we can coordinate transportation from the airport at that time. Regarding transportation back from Manuel Antonio, we recommend booking a flight at 4:00 p.m. or later to ensure you arrive at the airport on time. The shared transportation departs from Manuel Antonio at 8:45 a.m., and potential traffic or unexpected delays along the way could affect arrival times.

Will all the hotels have air conditioning? If not, can I upgrade my hotels? For FEB 4th departure how many people do you have in the group so far? If not enough people will you cancel the trip?

    • Destination Services Costa RicaOperatorWritten January 2026

Most of the hotels included in the itinerary do offer air conditioning. However, please note that hotels in Tortuguero do not have air conditioning. This is standard for the area, and air conditioning is not necessary, as the lodges are designed to stay comfortable with natural ventilation due to the location and climate.

This is a private package or individual package; the trip does not depend on a minimum number of participants and will not be canceled due to group size.

    Asked on November 25th, 2025

I am interested in this tour and I have a question regarding the luggage. On this tour do we leave our luggage at the accommodation or should I have a backpack that we carry from on guided tours? Therefore, can I bring a suitcase or backpack is better?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • Destination Services Costa RicaOperatorWritten November 2025

You can bring a suitcase. During the guided tours, you will leave your main luggage at the accommodation, and you only need to carry a small daypack with the essentials (water, sunscreen, camera, etc.). There is no need to carry your full luggage during the tours. If you prefer, a backpack is also fine, but it is not required.
