The national parks do indeed offer treks suitable for wheelchairs. If shared transport doesn't meet your needs, private transportation is always an option. It's important for wheelchair users to have an accompanying person, as guidance is only provided during the activities themselves.

We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica! The rooms in each location were Very nice, and the staff lovely. I would emphasize that the eco-lodge doesn't have AC, so travelers can pack portable fans. All tour guides were fantastic, helpful, and friendly. They were all full of knowledge and enthusiastic about what they were showing us, which made the experiences so much more meaningful. We did more than just see beautiful fauna and wildlife, we really learned a lot too! All transportation was nice, had ac, and were on time. Our private transportation from Manuel Antonio to San Jose airport was spectacular!! Jasper was THE BEST showing us Scarlett Macaws (which we hadn't seen yet), 13 Tucans in one tree (WOW!), and Crocodiles along the route. He made what we expected to be a long boring drive to the airport, an amazing last adventure! Give that man a raise!! 😁🥰 All additional excursion options were great. Only a few things that would be helpful is to include how long each excursion takes to help with planning on what to bring...only pick up times are listed on the itinerary. And communication was left until last minute as to what was happening next, so we were all a little confused sometimes as to what to do. We all got to where we needed to be, but as planners, we would like to have more information prior as to know what to expect. Overall, it was a WONDERFUL experience! Thanks to everyone who was involved! I will absolutely be looking to book through Tourradar again.Show more

We never had the names of our hotels, which confused the drivers (luckily they had them) even though we kept contacting Tour Radar about this problem. The hotels (except one) were all located far from the towns and restaurants. We had to take Ubers (twice the Ubers couldn't even find the hotel) or the hotel shuttles to get to town for dinner, sometimes costing as much at $ 25 each way. An extremely unpleasant experience. Cost Rica was wonderful- the rainforest, animals and people. However, after being met by DS at the airport very efficiently, the rest of the organisation was poor. We were never sure which company was meeting us for tours and twice we were given the wrong pick up times. We had one superb guise - Ray Salazar at Tortuguero, and Justin at Monteverde was also excellent for his young age. But our group was split into different hotels and one - El Faro at Arenal wasn't good. Plaza Yara at Manuel Antonio was beautiful. Great trip because of the country itself but poor organisation and no guidance from a tour leader of what we needed on each trip.Show more

For tours departing after November 14th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Destination Services Costa Rica. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
