What is homestay twin share and multi share and camp dorm. I am a solo female traveler. What is your post stay package?

A variety of styles of hotels/guest houses are used on this trip. In many instances they might not be like what you are accustomed to as service and efficiency can vary. In some areas we stay in simple local guest houses in stunning locations. That said, rooms are generally small and simple yet clean. There may only be shared toilet facilities and showers. Accommodation will be varied throughout your adventure. Some nights on this tour will be multi-share. This may involve 4-6 group members sharing a room. The majority of accommodation will have shared bathroom facilities. Where we use multi-share hostels, rooming requests of any kind cannot be taken. For private accommodation please see tours in our Classic Travel Style. We can only add extra nights before the tour starts (50 USD per night).

I noticed there are relatively few reviews, and the most recent was from 2022. Could you kindly let me know the reason for this — for example, has the tour been paused or changed significantly in recent years?

Do you offer a private room or single-room supplement option? If yes, what is the additional cost, and what kind of accommodation would that include?

We are interested in this tour in May of 2026. 4 adults. From America. We will have a six month old baby (baby will be 6 months in May of next year). Is this ok for this tour? If not? Then what tour is acceptable?

Unfortunately no G Adventures or National Geographic Journey's are suitable for a baby. The minimum age on most of our tours is 12years or 18years. And 6 or 7 years on our Family Tours.

Are these dates available to book yet?

Yes we do have our June 2026 dates available. You will just need to click "check availability" then click June 2026 to view the departures.

What are the luggage recommendations for this tour?

It is suggested to travel light, ideally with a small to medium sized backpack or rolling bag. Suitcases are not recommended.

This is an excellent tour with a good range of activities in the itinerary and excellent additional activities to do as well. I would highly recommended the night hike up mount Ijen. This tour I thought made seeing Java a lot easier compared to doing solo, although there are some very long travel days in Java. There are three very different homestays two do which were standouts in the tour to me. I would recommend this tour despite the long travel days.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 27th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 27th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
