- AFalice· September 23rd, 2018It is a lovely trip, you get to see so much in a short space of time and most things are organised incredibly well. The downside is that we assumed we would be with a group of people the whole time and make friends ect but it is just a case of being booked on a series of day tours. This of course has its benifits, you can do what you want in evening and not obliged to do group activities but on occasions when the drivers were late or whilst hoping we were on the right overnight train it would have been nice to have a guide/others with us to stop panicking. The food on the whole is not brilliant, the options are limited but of course when it is included you expect that and there are plenty of places to get cheap food. Overall this has been an amazing trip in which we experienced so much culture, history and fun and I would highly recommend but I just feel it important to make clear you are independent and not with a guide 24/7.Show moreTrip date: August 2018
- LALeslie· May 31st, 2018We loved everything. The overnight stop in Halong Bay was particularly good. Loved Hoi An, especially the Green Apple Hotel and also really liked Siem Reap. The only hotel we were not happy with was the Samnnang Laor Hotel in Phnom Penh. It was 95% Chinese tourists, fine for Asians but not good for Westerners. We love Asian people but the guests in this hotel seemed particularly noisy and unfriendly. The location also was not good. We are delighted with Vietnam Adventure Tours for their help and attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We would love to return to the area sometime soon, perhaps incorporating Sapa in our next tour.Show more
