When comparing tour companies it can get tricky. Do yourself a favor and book with Adventure Junkie if you are looking for a 10 day trip in the South Island. It may seem pricier than some of the other tours listed in Tour Radar, but this is actually a great value since the price includes not only all the activities, but it also includes transportation, accommodations at comfortable, central and clean locations, breakfast and lunch at the most amazing restaurants with NO set menu which allows everyone to order what they want, but most importantly the best tour guide in all of New Zealand, Russ. Russ works with you to put together an itinerary that works for you, and goes out of his way to take care of you the entire time. I would recommend Adventure Junkies to anyone and I am hopeful that I have the opportunity to cross paths with Russ again on a different Tour.

Our Adventure Junkies 10 day tour of the South Island was amazing despite some rare not so amazing weather conditions. Our guide, Russ, made sure the weather didn’t stop us from seeing the breath taking views of the South Island. He handled everything so my travel partner and I didn’t need to worry about a thing. All breakfasts and lunches were delicious, clean and could meet any dietary restrictions. All lodging accommodations were comfortable, central and clean. Transportation was always prompt, clean and safe, equipped with a great Spotify playlist. During the days there was never a dull moment, our itinerary was packed with premium and immersive activities including hikes on trails that weren’t crowded with amazing views. Russ is a phenomenal guide, his love of NZ shows in his passion for sharing sights, experiences and laughs. He really made this a trip of a lifetime. Although I was traveling with a friend, Adventure Junkies would be an amazing solo travel, couples and even family trip. I highly recommend an Adventure Junkies trip to anyone looking to explore New Zealand. I’m trying to get myself out there again in the future for another tour

The guides were excellent and the trip was fun. Accommodations were lovely. Restaurant choices were mixed- some good and a few not so good. I don't think the description of the cycling represented the ride as well as it should. There were quite a few stretches along busy roads and some steep, albeit short, hills.

I did the 4 day Southern Loop tour. I had a fantastic time and I got to see so many amazing sights in such a short time. Marissa went above and beyond to help me. She answered my many questions and was so available and helpful. The work she put into planning my trip, ensured that I had a wonderful experience that I will never forget.

After initially booking before covid and then needing to be rebooked, the itinerary needed to be revised. I could not be happier with the changes and the work that was put in by the travel agents to get it perfect. 10/10. Everything was perfect.

This was an excellent and well organised tour. We really enjoyed the balance of cycling and hiking and also the less strenuous activities. This was a great way to explore the north coast of the South Island. Our guide, Rob, was excellent. He was enthusiastic at the same time as being relaxed, and we loved learning all about New Zealand from him. Many thanks Rob and Adventure South

Fantastic Tour! Great guides, good food, new friends, and beautiful outdoor experience

I've been on several tours with various companies, and was impressed by Flying Kiwi, especially considering it was a camping tour. The outdoor meals were better than expected, and there was a good mix of organized and independent activities. Our guides were very responsive to individual requests and did their best to make sure everyone had a great time. Well done!
