So I booked this tour with high hopes because I headr good things about Bamba but it ended up being the worst tour...
So I booked this tour with high hopes because I headr good things about Bamba but it ended up being the worst tour I've ever experienced. In hindsight I should of just done it solo but I liked the idea of a self guided tour. So after paying the fee everything went pear shaped from there. I never received a itinerary before my tour started and I got my bus to Copcabana and then nothing....I'm mean zero info. I soon worked out I needed to get on a ferry to Isla Del Sol which I did but nobody met me and I did not know what hotel/ hostel I was staying at. I had to find some WiFi to contact Bamba only to be stuffed around and after 3 hotels and 3 hours later I got to my hotel and proceeded to fall asleep from exhaustion. Full credit to the Bamba team because they did everything they could to get me a room for the night and did it just before sundown. When I woke up the hostel owner informed me that Bamba's payment wasn't accepted and I had to pay which was a problem as I had insufficient funds. The owners daughter then escorted me off the island back to Copacabana to get the money off me. At the end of the day I could of done the tour myself so in hindsight it's my fault for not being more self sufficient. Bamba did promise a tour and they did not deliver which they have compensated me for post tour. Lessons learnt 1.Do it yourself it's not that hard. 2. Stay overnight to get the full Isla Del Sol experience 3. Don't use Bamba 4. Be warned that the north of the island is in conflict with the south so you can't visit. Other than that it's all good. Bamba promised an experience and that's exactly what I got! Full credit to their support staff because they did their best to help so I do appreciate that.Show more

The accommodation in Copacabana and La Paz we’re fine, the one on Isla del sol was just ok. The first day when all we did was travel to Copacabana was a bit of a waste of time and a waste of a day. The Isla del sol Trip was also a Little bit slow- could have all been condensed into one day really.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 11th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 11th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Bamba Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 90 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
