    Asked on August 14th, 2023

If my husband and I want to add two more days in Manuel Antonio, how do we return to San Jose? How much walking is required each day? We are 76, and can walk about a mile each day. What type of transportation is used driving to all destinations? We are thinking April/May 2024. Are these good months for just a little rain, as we will be taking a lot of photos? Is there enough free time each day to spend on photos, setting up a tripod, etc.? Is there a discount if we did a Trafalgar tour 6 years ago?

When it comes to the Activity Level of this trip, it will be a Balanced Type, on which relaxed at start and some evening activities. Terrains will be some uneven surfaces such as cobblestones, hills and stairs. And mobility in which our guest should be able to get on and off the coach without any assistance. The type of transportation throughout the whole trip will be Motor Coach. Upon checking on the usual weather condition on Costa Rica on the month of April, usually will be hot and sunny. One of the inclusions you will expect on this trip that it will be having an Optional Experience trip and free time on which you can have you time to discover and enjoy this wonderful tour and times to have photos while on the trip.

Our previous Trafalgar trip was Contrasts of Italy Sept 25-Oct 4, 2017 if you could verify that for a discount. How much would the discount be? Also, is it permissible to stay in Manuel Antonio at the end of the trip for additional days? We will not be leaving early, as you stated, but rather adding on our own personal days. I realize we have to make that hotel reservation ourselves. But we want to make sure we don't have to return to San Jose to complete the tour as specified.

    • TrafalgarOperatorWritten August 2023

We have verified your previous trip with us in 2017, and we're pleased to confirm that you are eligible for the frequent traveler discount. This discount will be 5% off the trip cost. Based on the current trip you're considering, which is priced at $2,750.00 per person based on a twin room, the frequent traveler discount will reduce the cost to approximately $2,612.50 per person.
