  The tour was good in terms of the things we saw, highlights for me being Ella, especially the diyaluma falls, this was definitely one of the best optional on the whole tour and I highly recommend doing this day trip! The tea plantation surroundings were beautiful and the glamping experience was also lovely, coupled with the fact elephant tour. I also particularly enjoyed the spice garden demonstration and guide! The tour itself was not guided as I have experienced in the past and although Allan the tour guide was courteous and gave some explanations to Sri Lanka locations we visited its definitely a lot less than other tours I’ve been on. It’s notable that our tour guide was also the driver for the entirety of the trip so definitely felt we were being mostly chauffeured around rather than on a fully guided tour at times. I would like to mention the train ride was a prospective highlight before joining the tour although I was disappointed that we were unable to get good seats to enjoy the views of this and the reality was we were packed into a 3rd class carriage which got very busy at times and weren’t able to fully experience the amazing views and the iconic train ride as advertised. In Kandy we were able to experience the parade which happens once a year which was a cool experience however this led to a knock on effect the following day which felt extremely rushed and we couldn’t enjoy the tea plantation, scenery and lunch throughout Ella as much as I’d like as we were mindful we would miss the train - which led to us arriving 15 mins nephew departing and without any seats, so we stood for the 2.5 hours and couldn’t get clear views of the beautiful surroundings. Allan himself was kind and professional and always quick to answer any questions or concerns we had. I also recommend visiting Secret Roots spa in Mirissa was an amazing and relaxing experience!Show more

  I did the 12 days Sri Lanka tour. It was exactly as described on the program. It's very good and have all the most important place to visit in Sri Lanka. It's a mix between beach, hiking, old temple, sunset, nature, ... A good proportion between activities and resting time. You will appreciate proximity with locals. Personal highlights were sigirya and elephants at safari ;) At location like Mirissa it's possible to add extra activities like surf lessons, snorkling with turtles. Accommodation are all very good standing. It was such a pleasure to experience this comfort during the tour. Special mention to tents the safari day ! For the daily transport, the van was really good with air climatisation and always clean thanks to our wonderfull tour guide, Sumudu. So last but not least, all my greetings to Sumudu one of the most kind hearted person you might meet. He knows every tip and everyone in the country. His mission is for the group to spend the best time possible . A problem ? Sumudu is here ! From France, thank you Sumudu, thank you one life.Show more
