This tour was absolutely well planned. It has the main highlights you want to see in west Madagascar, literally what we were looking for. We started out with the left foot though, communication was a bit hard with the admin team and organization a bit catastrophic, but it worked out in the end. I think what made thus experience unforgettable were our tour guides, we spent 2 days with Franci in Antananarivo - he was great! Professional and very committed, very helpful and patient too. We needed to get money out of the ATM and he made sure this happened swiftly and safely. Very very kind and a super host, showing us the city and talking about the history of it with such passion and enthusiasm. For the second half, from Morondava onwards, we had Mahery, what a blessing this man is!! The kindest and wisest Malagasy we met! Passionate about what he does and fully committed to make our adventure unique! From the first day Mahery was very attentive and enthusiastic, he knew my main thing was to see the FOSA, so he wouldn’t rest until he made this happen… of course, we saw the fosa!!! After several tries!!! So I will never forget it! The whole west is such a beautiful experience, the Baobabs, the fantastic fauna, never ending landscapes and their beautiful people is truly something I have never seen before in all my travels. I am sure Mahery & Joseph (our driver) were key part of making this experience so unique. The Tsingy de Bemaraha was another gift we had, this place is truly amazing, blew up my mind, the scenery is just something else, thanks Mahery to hike this with us at a very fast pace! The ferry crossings, the wild and muddy roads, the stops at the villages to see the kids, the good music (Vampire is my favorite) and my constant favorite word (“Foooosa”), thanks for baring with me and being so patient too! Thanks you so much, can’t express enough gratitude and happiness for such a beautiful journey we had in Madagascar thanks to you all!!! Rod and I will never forget you!
