- Day 2
Budapest
Start with a bilingual guided city tour in the Castle District where you'll catch panoramic views of the city. From there, you'll cross Elizabeth and Margaret Bridges, then head to Europe's largest Synagogue. Next comes City Park with its famous thermal spa and Zoo, followed by a stop at Heroes' Square. The tour continues down Andrássy Avenue through downtown Pest, passing the Opera House and St. Stephen's Basilica. You finish with a 1-hour guided tour inside Parliament Building, seeing the ornate session room, grand staircase, vaulted hall, and the cupola with the Crown Jewels.

- Day 3
Budapest - Gödöllő
Travel about 30 minutes from Budapest to reach the Royal Palace of Gödöllő in the Hungarian countryside. Your guide takes you through the palace, which is Europe's second-largest Baroque structure, showing you the restored halls and sharing details about Emperor Francis Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth (Sisi). After that, wander through the 26-hectare English garden and check out the palace museum. Your guide points out hidden doors and rooms while telling stories about the imperial couple's private life. Before heading back to central Budapest, you'll have a coffee break on the grounds.

- Day 4
Budapest - Visegrád - Esztergom - Szentendre
This is a full-day Danube Bend tour hitting three charming towns. In Visegrád, you'll explore the area around the 750-year-old Royal Residence and take in the Danube valley views (note that Royal Residence entry isn't included). Next, head to Esztergom to visit Hungary's largest cathedral, the center of the Catholic Church and where cardinals including József Mindszenty are buried. You'll see views across the river to Slovakia from there. On your way back, stop in the artist village of Szentendre, walking its narrow streets and seeing the baroque architecture. Climb to a lookout for panoramic Danube views and experience this small town where the Danube and Pilis Mountains meet.
