All in all it was a very good trip, the first for both of us to French Canada. Our guide, Cara of Jonview, was excellent. Cara is knowledgeable, open minded, witty, and warm. She was extremely helpful with small things such as stopping at a pharmacy to get distilled water for a cpap machine. That said, we felt we spent way too much time on a bus, most days 4-6 hours and some days close to 8. I would have preferred to meet the group in Montreal and spend all of our time in Quebec City and Montreal. Of course that would be a French Canada tour, not an Eastern Canada tour. A few short day trips from a city base, involving no more than 4 hours on the bus, would have been preferable. And, by the way, nowhere was Omega Tours mentioned, only Jonview. I understand there are contracts and subcontracts and so on, but it was a bit disconcerting.Show more

  That said, it's very easy to get into Toronto from Billy Bishop:
  
  You can take the free pedestrian tunnel and shuttle from the airport terminal to the mainland (at the foot of Bathurst Street). From there, you can continue by taxi, Uber, or public transit directly to your hotel, and it's usually a very short ride depending on where you're staying. There are also Ubers and taxis available directly at the airport for a quick and convenient transfer.
