Itinerary
- Day 1
Hue
Your day starts early with an 8:00 AM pickup for a full immersion into Hue's cultural and historical side. You'll begin with a dragon boat ride along the Huong River heading out to Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the city's most significant religious sites. From there, it's on to the Citadel where you can walk through the royal areas that once belonged to Vietnam's last kingdom and get a real sense of the architecture and layout. Before lunch, you'll have time to browse Dong Ba market and soak in the local atmosphere. My Home restaurant is where you'll sit down for traditional Hue cuisine along with royal tea, and afterward there's a complimentary herbal foot bath to relax. The afternoon takes you to two royal tombs back to back. Minh Mang Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb each have their own distinct architectural styles, so you'll see some interesting contrasts between them. Later, you head to Thuy Xuan Village to meet local artisans who craft traditional conical hats and incense by hand. Your hotel pickup drops you back around 4:30 PM, giving you time to rest before dinner.
