- Kathleen· January 16th, 2026Varsha was absolutely incredible. She was the best guide I have ever had! We were in VERY a diverse group from different backgrounds and ages. There were 3 people with seperate high risk food allergies, shellfish, dairy and gluten from 3 different cultural backgrounds / ethnicities. Varsha took the time at every stop to make sure food was safe for each person to eat. Running through specific allergies and dietary requirements at each restaurant or street vendor.. She had the patience of a saint. Varsha is also very calm, well spoken and educated. Highly organised and very knowledgable. India is quite intense and overly stimulating, she kept everyone in line and ensured we were all safe and accounted for, checking in regularly to see if anyone needed a time out... Our trip was seamless and Id say this was all thanks to Varsha and how she handled every situation with absolute grace and charisma...Communication from Varsha was top tier, we were never unsure of where we were going or what we were doing. If I could give 10 stars I would... I honestly dont think I would have lasted in the mayhem if it was not for Varsha leading the way!Show more

The only thing that could have been better was some of the hotels. Many of the rooms were not closed to the outside, leading to a lot of air pollution and spiders coming inside. My experience was 14 days (12 days of activity, one pre and one post for transit) of back-to-back travel and engagement with Indian culture and urban community. Small-group travel through the incredible lens of our guide Ankita allowed for us to get closer to more of the reality of each of the places we visited than I ever would have been able to do solo, and I thank her for her humour, drive, bartering tactics and knowledge in each place we visited along the way. Prepare yourself for spicy food, heady fragrances and the noise of India's streets, which you'll spend a lot of time strutting through. Markets and stalls galore, plenty of cities to lose and find yourself in. The people are curious and generally friendly, and will do their best to engage if you approach with kindness and a smile. While I loved to surround myself with the architecture, my favourite stop along the way was the city of Udaipur with its gorgeous central lake and spiritual ties. What made it really incredible though was our tour guide, Shrishti. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best it could possibly be, ensuring we got to see the real India all while making us feel safe and comfortable. She even went the extra mile and arranged activities and transport for us after the One Life tour was over.
