Arrival in Tokyo
Your driver picks you up at Tokyo arrivals and takes you to the hotel. After you check in, the rest of the day is open. You can rest up from the flight, wander around the neighborhood, or start getting a feel for the city on your own.

- Day 2
Tokyo
Meet your private guide for a half-day tour around Tokyo. You'll see the Imperial Palace from outside, then head up to Tokyo Sky Tree's 350-meter observation deck where the city views are great. From there, walk through Asakusa Temple, Tokyo's oldest temple, and stop to make a wish for good luck.

Ashi Lake and Mt. Fuji
Your guide and driver take you on a full-day tour of Mount Fuji in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. You'll see Japan's highest mountain along with its temples and shrines. Later, you'll spend time at Ashi Lake, which formed from volcanic activity around 3,000 years ago and sits beautifully in the surrounding landscape.

- Day 5
Kyoto
Start the morning with a traditional tea ceremony where you'll put on a kimono, taste green matcha tea, and have Japanese sweets. After that, your guide takes you through Kyoto to see the Kyoto Imperial Palace and its gardens. Later, wander through the bamboo forest in Arashiyama, then finish at Kinkakuji temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Japan's most famous golden temples.

This half-day uses public trains to visit two iconic Kyoto sites. Head to Fushimi Inari Shrine, where thousands of red torii gates wind through the forest on sacred Mount Inari. After that, check out Sanjusangendo Temple and its impressive 1001 human-sized statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy. The evening is yours to do what you like.

Kyoto to Kanazawa
Travel by train to Kanazawa, a city known for its culture and science. Once you check in at your hotel, meet your guide for a city tour. You'll walk through the charming Higashi Chaya geisha district with its teahouses and craft shops, then visit the Nagamachi Samurai District to see a restored samurai residence and learn about samurai history.

Takayama - Shirakawa-go
After breakfast, take a train to Takayama for a walking tour that includes trying traditional Japanese sweets, watching a tofu maker at work, and tasting sake at a brewery. Then head to the mountain village of Shirakawa-go, famous for its unique Gassho-zukuri architecture with steep thatched roofs built without nails or mortar. You'll explore open houses including the grand Wado house before heading back to Kanazawa by train.
