  A friend and I are considering this tour and wondering how best folks would fly from Boston, considering the trip starts in Chiang Mai and ends in Phuket.

    The easiest way would be to fly through Bangkok and catch a domestic flight to/from the start/finish point.

  I am going to be traveling to several countries before hand and I am wondering if having a bigger checked bag and a back pack would be a problem for traveling. I am just figuring out how to best manage my things. I unfortunately won't just have a backpack and I was wondering if that is okay. Also are most of the attendees young solo travelers?

    There is no restriction on luggage we do advise medium sized suitcase for travel. If you potentially need to travel with more bags I would recommend leaving bags at a specific spot. On this tour maybe leaving extra luggage in Chiang Mai if you plan on returning to that spot at the end of the tour. Most Travelers on this tour would be around 50+ We still have travellers who are younger but most will be 50 plus.

  Is there more to see in Phuket itself? Can I be dropped off somewhere in Phuket on the last day and extend my stay there?

    The tour does end at the airport, if you prefer to stay in Phuket for longer you would need to book accommodation independently and arrange transportation from the airport. The driver on this tour could potentially drop you off in the town itself but as this is not part of the itinerary we can't guarantee it, so it's best to arrange your own.

    If I arrive at Chiang Mai airport a day before the start date (e.g. landing on 21-April for the 22-April tour), are you still able to transfer me from the airport to the hotel? What would it cost for the extra night's stay?

    We do have pre nights it will be GBP 40 per night, if you book the pre night through us we will be able to have the transfer day before.

  Are all accommodation single/private en suite rooms? How flexible/independent can I be when in certain locations as far as how I spend my time? Are any activities or meals mandatory?

    Rooming is based on double occupancy (two travellers per room). We believe that travelling by yourself shouldn't be more expensive. We treat single travellers the same as the rest of the group, which is why we don't charge single supplements. We'll partner you up with a same-sex roommate to ensure you pay the same as everyone else. Don't want to share a room? No problem. Sometimes it's just more convenient and comfortable to have your own room, which is why we offer single travellers a "My Own Room" option—a single room all to yourself at a great G Adventures price. All rooms will have an en-suite washroom. When looking at the tour itinerary, you will see which activities are included and where you have free time during the tour. During the free time you can choose an optional activity we list which the CEO (tour leader) will help you arrange or you can choose to do what you wish during this free time. Most of the activities on this tour are included in the tour package with one optional activity. Since it is a group tour we expect our travellers to participate in all the activities listed in the itinerary but there is no obligation to this. Included - 11 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 5 dinners. Travelling with G Adventures, you experience the vast array of wonderful food that is available out in the world. Generally, meals are not included in the trip price when there is a choice of eating options, to give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat.
