Our tour from Shanghai to Chengdu was a great learning that organised tours are not for us. We were only a few English speaking people on our tour, so the commentary provided on the bus speaker system was all Spanish and made it virtually impossible for our English speaking guide to give us the history and information, and when he did some of our tour companions complained they couldn't clearly hear the overhead announcements... So we missed a lot of details. -We had a different guide for all four stops, which was not ideal. They ranged from great to average. -Manditory stops at commercial enterprises, not listed in the travel itinerary, like a silk making shop in Shanghai, a clay moulding and enamel store in Xi'an, just used up valuable hours of our short tour. Even the tea ceremonies (2 on our tour) were not actual ceremonies and provided no real information on cultural significance or practice but just a taste and sell exercise. -Provided meals were poor quality and not reflective of local cuisine. Bland and boring buffet style meals rather than actual local foods was very disappointing. -We ditched the tour for the last days in Chengdu so we could actually spend time at the Panda centre and trying local food. On the whole the tour operation was mostly smooth we found it too rushed and sanitised to get a real glimpse of this amazing country. -We saw more in Shanghai and Chengdu in a few free days on either side of the tour and will not be doing this again. - Sorry but this was not great for us but we learned a lot from the experience.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before April 6th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 6th, 2026, a minimum payment of $125 is required to confirm your booking with Europamundo. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 50 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
