- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City
You'll touch down at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City where your guide and driver will be waiting. After heading to your hotel, check-in happens at 14:00 (early check-in isn't included). From there, the rest of the day is yours to walk around and soak in the city's nightlife, bars, and pubs.

- Day 2
Ho Chi Minh City
This morning starts with a full-day city tour hitting the Reunification Hall (the former Presidential Palace), Old Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Jade Emperor Pagoda, Chinatown, and Binh Tay Market. Then in the afternoon you'll head out to the Cu Chi Tunnels, which is a 210-mile underground network built by guerilla fighters starting back in 1940. By evening you're back at your hotel with time to explore the nightlife again.

- Day 3
Hoi An
After breakfast, you have free time until your pickup for the drive to Tan Son Nhat Airport and your flight to Danang. Once you land, your guide meets you for the transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, head over to Hoi An Ancient Town and take a boat ride on the Thu Bon River to see how the town looks when evening falls. Then it's back to Danang for the night.

- Day 4
Ba Na Hills
Following breakfast, transfer to Bana Hills Station for a full-day tour of Ba Na Hills. You'll ride the modern cable car system for views from above the clouds looking out over the landscape. The highlight is the Golden Bridge sitting at 1,400 meters elevation between a sea of clouds. After that, return to Danang for your night.

- Day 5
Danang to Hanoi
Morning pickup takes you to Danang Airport for your flight to Hanoi. At Noi Bai Airport, your guide meets you for the drive downtown. After checking in at your hotel (14:00, early check-in subject to availability), visit The Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university from 1070. Next, check out the Museum of Ethnology to see Vietnam's diverse culture through artifacts and traditional clothing. Wrap up with a walking tour through the Old Quarter's narrow streets full of small businesses and photo spots.

- Day 6
Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu and Tam Coc)
After breakfast, head out toward Ninh Binh which takes about 2 hours. First you'll visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital with its royal palaces and temples for King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh from the Dinh and Le dynasties (968-1009). Later in the afternoon, take a 2-hour boat trip through Tam Coc, called 'Halong Bay on land,' and cruise through three limestone caves (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba) along the Ngo Dong River with rice paddies and limestone mountains around you. Back to Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Leave your hotel early morning heading toward Halong Bay through the Red River Delta farmlands where you'll see Vietnamese village life, rice paddies, water buffalo, and local transportation. When you arrive in Halong, board a traditional sailing junk and explore the Bay of the Descending Dragon with its caves, beaches, floating villages, and rock formations. On board there's a chef's cooking demonstration where you'll try your hand at traditional Vietnamese cooking. Lunch and dinner happen in the dining room (drinks cost extra). Evening options include movie night, squid fishing, or cocktails among the limestone rocks. You'll sleep on the cruise.

Halong Bay
Early risers can catch a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck at sunrise. Start with light breakfast and a colorful brunch to follow. Then continue exploring Halong Bay and sail across its 2,000 islets visiting the major spots. Once the tour wraps up, transfer back to Hanoi in the late afternoon and spend the night there.
