Itinerary
- Day 1
Muscat
You'll arrive in the morning with Oman Air from Munich and get transferred to your hotel. Around 2 p.m. your tour guide meets you, and you'll grab coffee at the Green Café to start things off. Then it's on to see Sultan's Palace, which sits between two Portuguese fortresses, followed by the Bait Al Zubair Museum where you can learn about Oman's culture and traditions.

- Day 2
Muscat
After breakfast, you'll head to the Muttrah district and check out the fish market first. From there, you'll walk along the Corniche waterfront past old trading houses before reaching the traditional souq where fabrics, spices, and clothes fill the stalls. The Royal Opera House comes next, with its elegant palace-like design. The rest of your day is open, so you can either keep exploring or head back to the hotel to rest.

Muscat to Nizwa
After breakfast, you'll head west toward the Hajar Mountains to see the Great Sultan Qaboos Mosque, which features an elaborate Swarovski chandelier. The drive takes you through dramatic mountain terrain to Nakhl, where there are hot springs and a historic fort worth exploring. Later, stop at the Amouage perfume factory to learn about traditional fragrance production before arriving in Nizwa by late afternoon.

- Day 4
Bahla - Al Hamra - Tanuf
Start early at Nizwa's Friday market where Bedouins and farmers gather for the animal market. You'll browse the bazaar and watch silversmiths work before visiting the impressive round tower fortress. After that, drive to Bahla Fort, Oman's largest clay fortress and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll continue through scenic landscapes to Al Hamra and its date plantations, then see the Tanuf ruins from the Jabal Akhdar revolt. The day wraps up with a walk through Birkat al-Mauz oasis and its old irrigation systems.

- Day 5
Wahiba Sands Desert
This morning you'll visit the Oman Across Ages Museum to learn about Omani culture and society. Then you'll drive along the Hajjar Mountains toward Wahiba Sands desert, and switch to off-road vehicles for the rest of the way through this vast, isolated desert with its varied dune shapes. After checking in at the resort, you'll have time to relax before heading back out onto the dunes in off-road vehicles at sunset for an evening under the stars.

- Day 6
Wahiba Sands to Sur
You'll start by returning from the desert using an off-road vehicle, then switch to a bus heading toward Wadi Bani Khalid. This partially dry river course has date palms and clear pools where you can spend some time. After that, head to Sur to visit a traditional dhow shipyard and see how Omani craftspeople build wooden ships using centuries-old methods. In the evening, travel to Ras Al Jinz for a turtle observation excursion at this sea turtle breeding ground.

Muscat - Salalah
You'll drive along the coast with views of rocky bays and long white beaches where you might spot sharks if you're lucky. Stop at Fins Beach, Wadi Shab and Tiwi with their palm-lined riverbeds, and the Bimah Sinkhole with its blue-green water that's perfect for a swim. From there, continue to Muscat and take a domestic flight to Salalah, the frankincense region, where you'll transfer to your resort.

Mughsail
You'll start at a typical farm growing bananas, papayas, and coconuts, then stop at the Grand Mosque for photos. Next you'll follow the scent of incense through Salalah Souk before walking along the Corniche to Al Husn Palace, the Sultan's summer home. In the afternoon, head to Mughsail to watch the blowholes shoot rolling waves into the air like fountains where the sea has carved through rocky cliffs. Coming back takes you along Oman's most spectacular mountain road, lined with frankincense trees thriving in the Dhofar Mountains.

Taqa - Samhuram - Mirbat
You'll visit the fishing village of Taqa and see its fort, plus grab a photo from the viewpoint above town. Continue to Samhuram, the ruined city connected to the Queen of Sheba's era, then drive to Mirbat, the former provincial capital with charming trading houses. You'll see the 12th century tomb mosque of Mohamed Bin Ali and its distinctive architecture. The rest of your day is free to enjoy the resort or relax on the white sandy beach.
