Málaga to Granada
The drive from Málaga to Granada takes about 2 hours through Andalusia. Once you arrive, head to the Alhambra to see this princely palace and its remarkable gardens. After that, walk through the Arab quarter of Albayzín, which has nice views back toward the Alhambra from various spots throughout the neighborhood.

- Day 3
Granada
Today you'll explore more of Granada beyond the Alhambra. Wander through the city's authentic districts where colorful markets fill the streets. Since Granada's a student city with a prestigious university, you'll find varied nightlife options, hip bars, and plenty of tapas spots to try throughout the evening.

- Day 4
Granada to Córdoba
The drive north from Granada to Córdoba takes about 2.5 hours. This historic city sits on the River Guadalquivir and has medieval Islamic architecture throughout. You can visit the Mezquita mosque cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's one of the most important landmarks of Islamic architecture. After that, check out the medieval Jewish quarter and synagogue, then walk through Córdoba's famous patios, which are beautiful inner courtyards and real highlights of the city.

Córdoba
This morning you'll cross the Puente Romano into Córdoba's center and spend the day at your own pace. The Alcázar gardens and Parque Cruz Conde are good spots to relax if you want to take things slow. If you're up for a drive, the Medina Azahara ruins or Castillo de Almódóvar del Río are both worth the trip, though they're about 25 km outside the city.

- Day 6
Córdoba to Seville
Travel from Córdoba to Seville, which takes about 3 hours. In Seville, see the impressive cathedral with the tower La Giralda, one of the largest in the world after St. Peter's in Rome. Walk through the Parque de Maria Luisa, the Jewish district of Santa Cruz, and the Alcázar palace. If you have time, you can take a side trip to Carmona about 45 km away, which has a charming old town of whitewashed houses and a roughly 3 km city wall surrounding it.

Seville
Seville's compact enough to walk, but renting a bike makes getting around faster since the city's set up well for cycling. You can join an optional guided bike tour or Segway tour if that interests you. By evening, find a restaurant and try local dishes like secreto ibérico or carrillada de cerdo. The food here is really something.

Seville to Jerez de la Frontera
Head to Jerez de la Frontera, about 2 hours away. This historic sherry production center and Andalusian horse breeding hub has feudal charm throughout. Visit the Royal Riding School to see Spanish horses and watch their spectacular dressage shows. Tour at least one sherry bodega to learn how sherry gets made. Spend your evening relaxing in one of the city's flamenco bars after exploring the historical sights scattered through the old town.

Seville to Ronda
The drive to Ronda follows scenic routes through the white villages, so take your time with it. Once you arrive, walk through the old town and visit the collegiate church of Santa Maria la Mayor. The bullring here is Spain's oldest, and it's worth seeing. You'll stay overnight in Ronda.

- Day 10
Ronda to Málaga
Drive back to Málaga, which takes about 1.5 hours. Spend the day relaxing on the coast with several seaside resorts on the Costa del Sol nearby. If you want to be active, check out Málaga's Alcázar fortress or the Picasso Museum. Otherwise, unwind by the sea before your final night wraps up.
