  We are traveling as a family of three, with our 7 year old son. We like this tour, but the reservation site is not letting me book 3 people to the same room. We would not like to split up into two rooms, because our child is only 7 years old. Is there a way to book this reservation for 3 people in a family room?

    Triple rooms are by request due to the fact that not all of the hotels on the tour offer that. 2 hotels do have a triple room, 2 hotels have sofabed for 12 years and younger and one hotel does not offer a triple room or extra bed. So you would sadly need to sleep in 2 rooms at one hotel.

  I have been travelling around Europe for 2 months now and have a 20kg medium-sized suitcase I need to take with me. Does the coach have bottom level luggage storage? Also, will all the hotels we stay in have lifts?

    Yes, the bus does have bottom level luggage storage. Not all of the hotels have a lift, but there is always a staff member available who can help you out with your luggage.

    Our 7-Day tour starts on the 28th so you will not be able to make that tour since your flight is on the 29th. But we do have a 5-Day tour which is from the June 29th -- July 3rd. If you are landing at Keflavík international airport at 08:45 you will not be able to be in Reykjavík in time for the pick up which is from 08:30 - 09:00. But if you are landing at Reykjavík domestic airport at 08:45 then you would be able to be picked up before the bus leaves Reykjavík.

    1) Reykjavik - The tour starts and ends in Reykjavik.
    2) Golden circle - The Golden Circle tour is included on day 6.
    3) Blue lagoon - The Blue Lagoon is an optional add-on on day 6.
    4) South coast- Skógafoss waterfall - On day 5 you will visit Skógafoss.
    5) Jokulsarlon Glacier - On day 5 there is included an Amphibian boat tour on Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.
    6) Diamond beach - Is also visited on day 5.
    7) Snaefellnes - Is not included in the 7 day tour, but if you would like to include the Snaefellnes Pensinsula Tour you can book the 8-Day tour, there it is included on day 1.

  Does this tour include a visit to the ice caves and to rainbow road?

    This tour does not include Ice Caves, there is not many Ice cave experiences possible over the summer due to the warmer temperatures.
    Which Rainbow Road are you referring to?
    You will be able to see the one in downtown Reykjavík, but it has not been repainted yet so it may be a bit worn, not sure exactly when it will be repainted, our Pride festival is not until August.
    This tour does not go to Seyðisfjörður, where the rainbow road ending in the church is, the tour stops in Egilsstaðir a 30 minute drive from there.

    For single travellers we only offer private rooms for single use. We do not pair up strangers.

  Is it guaranteed to go, or is there a minimum number of people? Also, what are the odds of seeing the Northern lights on this tour, and will there be opportunities to deliberately try and see them (i.e., giving us alerts and wake-up calls when the lights are visible?

    All departures are guaranteed to operate, and there is no minimum number of participants required. By the end of August it is already getting dark at night in Iceland, which gives good chances of seeing the lights if weather conditions and solar activity allow. While it is not standard practice to provide wake-up calls during the night, our guides always keep a close eye on the conditions and forecasts. If there are promising chances to see the Northern Lights, they will certainly inform the group, and in our experience, guests are usually very enthusiastic and happy to keep watch together when conditions are favorable.

    Airport transfers are not included in the package rate but can be added at an extra cost. We can arrange the following: Shared airport transfer with Flybus (return) - 68 EUR per person or Private airport transfer (return) - 340 EUR per vehicle

    The Northern Lights are typically visible from end of August to end of April if conditions allow. If you are looking at the September/October dates there is a chance you get to see the lights but there is not a dedicated drive out to see lights on this tour.

    We do not operate this tour, 7-Day Small Group Journey Around Iceland, in December. If you are interested in a winter tour we have a 5-day Northern Lights & Glacier Lagoon tour available. This tour does include some Northern Lights viewing.

    We do not offer any round tours after October until April as the weather can be highly unpredictable and roads can close due to this. Our longest offering during winter is the 6 day self drive tour or our 6 day City Break tour. It is possible to extend these with extra nights in Reykjavík. It is also possible to extend the 5-day Northern Lights & Glacier Lagoon tour by adding a 4 or 5 day City Break at the beginning or end of the tour.
