Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Vientiane
Your guide and driver will be waiting at Wattay International Airport with a nameplate when you land. From there, you'll head to your hotel in Vientiane to check in and get oriented with the city. The afternoon and evening are completely open, so you can either rest up or start wandering around on your own if you feel like it.

- Day 2
Vientiane City Exploration
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll explore Vientiane with your guide. First up is Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in the city, where you'll see thousands of tiny Buddha statues. Then you're heading to Wat Prakeo, the former royal temple. By midday, stop at Patuxai Monument for photos and climb to the top if you want the view. Next comes That Luang Stupa, covered in gold and really striking. Before heading back around late afternoon, you'll visit the COPE Visitor Centre to learn about the history of unexploded ordnance in the region.

Vientiane to Vang Vieng
After breakfast, you'll drive roughly 4 hours through the countryside toward Vang Vieng. Along the way, there's a stop at Hmong Village at KM 52 to see what daily life looks like for the local ethnic communities. Then you'll check out Vang Xang, an archaeological site with ancient rock carvings and Buddha statues from the 11th century. Lunch happens at Ban Houy Mo fishing village at a local restaurant. Once you get to Vang Vieng, you'll go on a boat cruise down the Nam Song River, explore Angle Cave, and spend time at the Blue Bridge Activity area. Swimming in the turquoise waters of Blue Lagoon is next before checking into your hotel.

- Day 4
Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang
Following breakfast, you'll head to Vang Vieng train station and board a high-speed express train to Luang Prabang. The route takes you through mountains, forests, and limestone formations, so there's plenty to look at out the window. Once you arrive in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city, you'll visit Vat Xieng Thong, a 16th-century monastery right where the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers meet. After that, you'll climb 328 steps up Mount Phousi to catch the sunset over the city and surrounding mountains. Then it's back to your hotel to settle in, with the evening free to do as you please.

- Day 5
Luang Prabang Exploration
You have the option to wake early around 5:30 AM and head out to see the Tak Bat ceremony where monks receive alms, followed by a walk through the local fresh market. After that, you'll grab breakfast. The morning continues with a visit to the Royal Palace, now functioning as the National Museum, where you'll see royal religious items, paintings, weapons, and crown jewels. You'll then stop at Wat Visoun, one of the oldest temples, and check out the unique Watermelon Stupa built back in 1514. The rest of your day is free to relax or wander through Luang Prabang's streets at your own pace.

- Day 6
Mekong River & Kuang Si Waterfalls
After breakfast, you'll board a traditional long-tail boat and cruise upstream on the Mekong River, taking in views of rural riverside life and mountains as you go. Your destination is the Pak Ou Caves, located where the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers meet. Inside there are over 4,000 Buddha images dating back centuries. On the way back downriver, you'll stop at Ban Xangkhong weaving village where artisans are working and you can try the wooden looms yourself. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive through rice paddies and farms to reach Kuang Si Waterfalls. The Bear Rescue Center is next on the schedule, then you'll explore the cascading pools and swim in the clear waters. You should be back in Luang Prabang by late afternoon.

Departure from Luang Prabang
You'll have free time after breakfast at your hotel to relax or do any last-minute exploring around Luang Prabang, depending on when your flight leaves. Your driver will pick you up at the right time and take you to Luang Prabang International Airport for your departure.
