Don’t book with this operator. While the hotels chosen were nice, the actual rooms given to us had terrible views and...
Don’t book with this operator. While the hotels chosen were nice, the actual rooms given to us had terrible views and we had to personally pay more to get a view. Our driver got us to the places on the itinerary but on several occasions we arrived after the church or temple had already closed. We even missed lunch one day as everything was closed. Good thing we had taken the initiative ourself to pack something. There was only a driver provided not a tour guide. In Malaysia that means they are not allowed to come into the sites. Therefore we did not have anyone explaining significant sites. When we raised this with the operator- they indicated the driver explained things in advance. He read a few things from google before we entered sites. This was an expensive tour and we felt like it was self-guided which was not our expectation. Overall a disappointing experience.Show more

Thank you for your comment, As we have explained in our email, the tour description clearly states that the tour is conducted by a driver-cum-guide. A driver-cum-guide is responsible for both driving and providing explanations during the journey. However, they are not permitted to enter certain attractions. In such cases, they will brief guests before the visit and wait outside while guests explore the attraction. Also, we have already refunded USD 50.00 for the attractions that were closed. Regarding your feedback about the guide, we have discussed this with him. He explained that he was asked detailed questions about religion. As he follows a different religion, he wanted to avoid providing any inaccurate or sensitive information. Therefore, he took extra care to verify the details before responding. Thank you again for your feedback We always appreciate the guests comments, as it helps us improve the quality of our services.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 28th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 28th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Asian Overland Services Tours & Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Asian Overland Services Tours & Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
