Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Dominica
You'll arrive at Melville Hall Airport or the ferry terminal and transfer directly to Hibiscus Valley. The drive gives you your first real sense of Dominica's thick green landscape and natural surroundings. After checking in at the guest house, you'll have time to settle in and get your bearings for the week ahead.

Twin Waterfalls and Kalinago Village
This morning starts with a hike through the Dominican rainforest where you'll find twin waterfalls, one dropping 25 meters with a cave entrance nearby. There's a natural pool for swimming if you're up for it, or you can climb higher to reach a sulfur-enriched waterfall. Later in the day, a rainforest hike with an expert guide covers local plants and how islanders use them for medicine. Lunch happens near the river, either prepared on site if your group has more than 3 people, or packed to take with you.

Stop at Purple Turtle Beach for swimming or a picnic. From there, continue through mangrove forests toward Dynamite Punch Bar and watch for endangered parrot species like the Sissirou and Jaco. The Jaco is the world's largest parrot and lives only on Dominica. Fair warning: some spots you'll visit today were used as filming locations for Pirates of the Caribbean movies 1 and 2.
