  Excellent tour. We didn't realise that th 9 day tour was actually two separate tours until we started the tour. Having used a number of tour companies over many years, we feel that this tour would be enhanced by all participants staying in the same accommodation. It assists in bonding the group. We understand Rabbies Tours likes to give participants choices, but maybe they could consider our suggestion. Perhaps an extra day to explore Ullapool would have been nice. We had two guides, Gill, who was outstanding, and Kelly who was very good. Over all we loved the tour.

  The 9-Day Iona, Mull, Skye & Orkney from Edinburgh tour itself was amazing. I loved it and would have given it a 5* but we had a problem with the accomadations. We were a group of 3. 2 of us booked together and then the 3rd person booked about a week later. We all told Rabbies that we were travelling together and wanted to be put in the same accommodations, or at the very least very close by. Unfortunately this only happened in 1 place. The rest of the stays, the single female in our group was in another accommodation which was at least a 15 to 20 minute walk from us. She was very apprehensive to walk that far on her own when it was dark out and in an area that was not touristy and unknown to her. One night she tripped and fell and scraped her knee quite badly because she was looking behind her to make sure she was not being followed. We did walk her back a few nights but unfortunately were not able to every night. I think Rabbies should make every effort to make sure that single travelers are placed in a spot that that is with their group or has another single traveler in it so that they can walk together to dinner. At least one of the accommodations that we were in had an empty single room in it so I think the booking of the accommodations could have been better

  The tour guides/bus drivers Robert and Andy were very good. They were good drivers and very informative. I'm not so happy with Rabbie's. What they do is because the tour is in small villages they just put us wherever they can find space and I think they have no idea about where these locations are. The very first night they put me in a B & B that was only 10 minutes or so away from restaurants and even further from the 2 ladies I was traveling with. We were late arriving in Oban so it was dark when I had to walk home down a dark street in an industrial area with really bad sidewalks. I was very nervous walking home and kept looking behind me to see if I was being followed and actually fell. Fortunately it was only a scraped knee but not a good situation had I been really hurt. My friends I was travelling with booked in March and I booked a week later because I was out of the country. We both requested that we be put in the same accommodation and they said they would see what they could do but they did nothing. They put us together once but that's it. 2 of the nights we were 2 hours apart. The frustrating part was there were other ladies travelling solo and they put them in the same place while I was not given that opportunity. Their story was that the other ladies had booked first but I feel that as no one knew where they were staying until July they could have made the switch easily and no one would be the wiser. Some in the group made their own accommodation, some we paid up front and some had to pay when they arrived. In closing my suggestion is that Rabbie do better at putting solo travellers with other people in the group so they're not going down dark pathways and streets by themselves and not separate people that are traveling with others. They need to do more research on the areas these B & B's are. I will not travel with Rabbie's again.

  Had an absolutely wonderful time on these two combined tours. Two drivers; Stefan and Kelly were both great, very accommodating and kept us entertained with lots of facts and interesting stories along the way! Would thoroughly recommend Rabbies to anyone, newcomer or experienced traveller. Scotland is an awe inspiring country and I feel sad to leave!!
