We understand you have questions regarding the cancellation policy for your tour with Rabbie's Tours. Here is a summary of their cancellation policy: For Extended Tours in the UK & Ireland: - Cancelling more than 21 days before the tour date incurs 0% charge. - Cancelling less than 21 days before the tour date incurs a 100% charge. - In the event of a 'no show,' the charge is 100% of the tour price. For Extended Tours in Europe: - Cancelling more than 42 days before the tour date incurs 0% charge. - Cancelling less than 42 days before the tour date incurs a 100% charge. - In the event of a 'no show,' the charge is 100% of the full package price.

How do we know how much time is sitting in the bus and traveling vs getting out and walking around? How do we know how much free time we have in each location? Is there anyway to stop at St. Andrews Golf Course while we are on this tour?

Generally speaking we try to stop every 1.5 hours or so. This can be anything from a short photo stop, to longer walks and at least 1.5 hours over lunch. On this tour there are several opportunities to have walks of 45 minutes or so, and in the case of Iona, you can either spend 3+ hours exploring the island, or if you would prefer, part of that time visiting the Isle of Staffa. I'm afraid this tour is focused on the Highlands, Inner Hebrides and Orkney, but will not be visiting St Andrews or Fife. Please note that we at Rabbie's do offer a one day tour to St Andrews from Edinburgh, although St Andrews is one of the few locations on our tours which is fairly easy to get to by public transport (in this case by bus).

Can you provide an estimate of not covered entry fees into sites? Will we be joining a tour already in progress? What is the maximum number of travelers on the tour?

Yes if you are travelling solo on this tour we will book you a single room and there is a single supplement. For the departure on 8th October, the rate would be £2780.63 for the Bed & Breakfast option, and £3519.63 for the Hotel option.

What types of accommodation are available on the tour?

We offer B&Bs, which are small, family-owned properties, and hotels that are more centrally located with additional facilities. Both options include breakfast.

Are there age restrictions for participating in the tour?

There are no strict age restrictions, but the itinerary may include walking and uneven terrain, which should be considered for elderly travelers.

How much luggage am I allowed to bring?

You are restricted to 20kg of luggage per person, which should be one piece similar to an airline carry-on bag and a small bag for personal items.

What happens if I need to cancel my tour?

Cancellation policies will apply, and details can be provided upon request. Please reach out for specific terms and conditions.

Excellent tour. We didn't realise that th 9 day tour was actually two separate tours until we started the tour. Having used a number of tour companies over many years, we feel that this tour would be enhanced by all participants staying in the same accommodation. It assists in bonding the group. We understand Rabbies Tours likes to give participants choices, but maybe they could consider our suggestion. Perhaps an extra day to explore Ullapool would have been nice. We had two guides, Gill, who was outstanding, and Kelly who was very good. Over all we loved the tour.Show more

The 9-Day Iona, Mull, Skye & Orkney from Edinburgh tour itself was amazing. I loved it and would have given it a 5* but we had a problem with the accomadations. We were a group of 3. 2 of us booked together and then the 3rd person booked about a week later. We all told Rabbies that we were travelling together and wanted to be put in the same accommodations, or at the very least very close by. Unfortunately this only happened in 1 place. The rest of the stays, the single female in our group was in another accommodation which was at least a 15 to 20 minute walk from us. She was very apprehensive to walk that far on her own when it was dark out and in an area that was not touristy and unknown to her. One night she tripped and fell and scraped her knee quite badly because she was looking behind her to make sure she was not being followed. We did walk her back a few nights but unfortunately were not able to every night. I think Rabbies should make every effort to make sure that single travelers are placed in a spot that that is with their group or has another single traveler in it so that they can walk together to dinner. At least one of the accommodations that we were in had an empty single room in it so I think the booking of the accommodations could have been betterShow more

The tour guides/bus drivers Robert and Andy were very good. They were good drivers and very informative. I'm not so happy with Rabbie's. What they do is because the tour is in small villages they just put us wherever they can find space and I think they have no idea about where these locations are. The very first night they put me in a B & B that was only 10 minutes or so away from restaurants and even further from the 2 ladies I was traveling with. We were late arriving in Oban so it was dark when I had to walk home down a dark street in an industrial area with really bad sidewalks. I was very nervous walking home and kept looking behind me to see if I was being followed and actually fell. Fortunately it was only a scraped knee but not a good situation had I been really hurt. My friends I was travelling with booked in March and I booked a week later because I was out of the country. We both requested that we be put in the same accommodation and they said they would see what they could do but they did nothing. They put us together once but that's it. 2 of the nights we were 2 hours apart. The frustrating part was there were other ladies travelling solo and they put them in the same place while I was not given that opportunity. Their story was that the other ladies had booked first but I feel that as no one knew where they were staying until July they could have made the switch easily and no one would be the wiser. Some in the group made their own accommodation, some we paid up front and some had to pay when they arrived. In closing my suggestion is that Rabbie do better at putting solo travellers with other people in the group so they're not going down dark pathways and streets by themselves and not separate people that are traveling with others. They need to do more research on the areas these B & B's are. I will not travel with Rabbie's again.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 14th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 14th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Rabbie's Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Rabbie's Tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Rabbie's Tours" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of Rabbie's Tours. Please familiarize yourself with the Rabbie's Tours payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
